I knew it was going to be hot today, so made an early start on trying to get the estate back into order. Between 2.00 and 4.00 pm I had to retire to the cool of the house, but then another three hours of toil, and my body said enough. Some progress has been made, but another couple of days will be required just to get back to where I was before the holiday. My neighbour Bernard refused to have holidays because of the catching up that had to be done, so his wife used to go without him.

By the way, I've studied the Moses red card and hold my hand up, the referee was spot on, but Sanchez' goal was 100% offside! <cheers>
 
Yesterday was so hot I kept losing the sound on the TV. Not sure quite why, but it seems to happen each year when the temperatures go up into the 30's. Guess it doesn't like the heat, as later in the evening when it cooled a little it was fine.
Just seen my next door neighbour who is off to his Florida home next month. His aircon is old and needs replacing if he wants to get a good price for the house. For some time he was undecided if he should live there full time or France. His mind was made up by Trump being elected.
