Mindy, these "wars" have been going on for millennia. It wasn't that long ago in the grand scheme of things that the Ottoman's had taken over half of Europe before running out of steam at Vienna.

It's not what is in the Koran, there are equally as brutal writings in the Bible, it's about beliefs and their social circles.

In the West, education took over religion when the reformation took place but large swathes of Muslim population are still fed information from an ultra conservative standpoint and that is the reason why Westerners don't blow themselves up to kill children at a concert in the hope of reaching God and virgin pussy.
