It will be interesting to see how Liverpool cope with the extra football next season. Ultimately the volume of games meant Mourinho had to prioritise a route into the CL and the reality is he treated the last few weeks of the season as a training exercise to get his fittest, freshest team available for the final. It worked,

Anyway, we can now look on the season as job done. As has been pointed out, it could have backfired but it didn't so all good for now. The record books will show two trophies and there won't be an asterisk with the caveat 'but you were **** in the league' alongside it.

Champions league next season and my money is that United and Chelsea will get a lot further in it than the other three premier league clubs.

Didn't hear what they said but what else were they going to say? Unless you mean they were unusually eloquent they'd have been ****s to say anything else?

Mata said this trophy meant more than any other he's won as they won it for the people of Manchester. The guy's won the World Cup.

Disappointing final, Ajax never got going, in fairness that's because United never allowed them to, a comfortable win that was never in doubt once the 2nd went in.

Lovely stadium btw

"We felt the suffering and the sadness of the city of Manchester and today we tried to give this trophy for them, that's how we felt before the game, that's how we feel now.

Again totally irrelevant to the question, so I will repeat the answer. For the big clubs, champions league is what it is all about.
Getting there is all what matters. Maureen targeted the Europey and it worked. For the fans another pot to there already impressive tally, for Maureen I guess it has less relevance.
The othe clubs you mention have also got there, I'm sure Pep, Klopp and the spurs governor at Texas particularly bothered this morning.

Charlton fan, born in the sound of Bow bells and bought up in Kent!
I will admit to looking at the Liverpool results as my late father was originally from Warrington and a lifelong 'pool fan
