I know and it includes a few rounds in the bar after match as well. Her indoors was a bit pissed off it was made out to me as well which was a bonus. She had this weird idea that it was her tax allowance therefore she was entitled to a cut. I've never understood the female thought process.....
Graham Carey came second to Enda Stevens in the Sky Sports Div2 player of the year award.....with Portsmouth having a greater fan base than Argyle it was inevitable that their player would get the vote....Doncaster having two players in the final six obviously had no chance at all splitting their vote between two players.

We have Teresa May as PM now: they've abandoned all thought of ever balancing the books so HMRC are going mad.
She may stop the winter allowance and give it to Businesses and cut the corporation tax, that will make sense ... also upset every one.. 
Trust me, £14k isn't at all bad these days. I am with you though, think mine cost about £500 26 years ago!
I got married in 1969. We started married life with virtually nothing having paid for the wedding ourselves. My wife and her friends did the buffet which was in a church hall we hired for £2 for the day. We set up our own bar and a neighbour of her's acted as barmaid. We bought all of the drink at an off licence who supplied us with the glasses on loan as we "spent so much". The drink for around 60 people cost us about £40. The food was about £15. We got married in Newton Abbot having to travel there by taxi. The taxi bloke was a friend of the family and charged us £7 for 2 cabs there and back to Dartmouth. Nobody paid for a drink all afternoon and a few left the hall a bit on the wobbly side. It was, even if I say so myself, a very good party rather than reception. The music was a pile of records and a record player operated by anyone who was passing when the music stopped.
The money people pay out today, and more to the point expect to be paid out, is rediculous. You have young people complaining bitterly that they can't afford to get on any property ladder yet find it perfectly ok to chuck a load of dosh at a party. Not only that they jet off to the back of beyond to continue it and spend even more. I lived in married quarters which were furnished and it was about 5 years before I owned a settee of my own. My bestist wedding present was a chip pan. I see people chucking lists around now and have things like 50 inch tv on it or washing machine or the like. The thing is they expect it. None of them want to work for or save for anything and expect to own it the instant they live apart from the parents. I can honestly say that when I had saved hard for something in my youth I bloody well appreciated it that's for sure and the fact that nobody has ever given me anything in my life for free or left me anything makes me sort of proud to be able to say that we did it all by oursleves.
Tell your son to pay for his own wedding Joe and I'll guarantee it won't cost £14k.

I watched the Europa Cup final tonight. If those were the best 2 sides in the competition then no wonder it was a second string cup. I thought the standard of football for 2 supposed top sides was poor. The passing was abysmal and it was like watching a league 2 game. I honestly expected much better even if the better side won in the end.

The only plus side of the whole game was the Referee not blowing for every fall down the players tried on. I thought he was decent but the play wasn't.

Just a little extra about "weddings".....to help get together our 20% down payment towards our mortgage deposit etc...I did 6 months night work straight off none stop (time and a third rate)....which meant I hardly spent any money during that time.....I got up 2pm one day so we could go and check out a property that we put a deposit on that very day.....3 different bus rides to get there and 2 more to the estate agents....and after we had put down our deposit we went our separate ways...my other half back home ....and I to work for a 12 hr shift starting at 7pm. We didn't have a car for years and our first table was a green beige folding card table that I borrowed from my parents.....but life was ok.
Personally I'm glad Arsenal beat Chelsea,....2-1.....could have been more......I must admit...I'm a little bias.....Chelsea, Liverpool and Man C are not my favourite teams.....Glad for Arsene Wenger he's taken a lot of stick this season.....and key players injured as well....Per Mertesacker played his first 90 minutes of the season and was my MOTM.
Hats off to the Ref also who wasn't scared to send off that cheating twonk Moses. On World TV he's shown up for what he is and I hope he is suitably embarrassed. Best team won today and showed they wanted it more. Not sure I cared which one picked up the cup to be honest but it was a decent watch for a change.
Much more of importance to us in the Deep South West is that half of the weekend's target has been fulfilled with Exeter Chiefs doing their thing and winning the rugby. I'd bet there are a fair few who will be doing the double and going to Wembley tomorrow. So, half a job and the completion tomorrow then. Geddon Exeter...
