Karl Henry and lots of youngsters by the looks of it. Also Morrison and Lua Lua will return to home clubs. http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/2...utm_source=m.facebook.com&utm_medium=referral
http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/qpr-reece-grego-cox-3719800.aspx New contract for Grego-Cox. Surprised at this. Only 20 but still around long enough to have made some impact.
Really? Is this based on his wonderful performances for us towards the end of the season? I'd prefer to see the back of both of them (and a few others) and get some younger hungry, ambitious players who are going to do all the running around that Mackie did, but with an end product.....
I missed that Mackie has been given another year, but I'm glad about that. We need some older players who may only play a small part on the pitch, but who I'm sure offer a huge amount more behind the scenes, encouraging younger players and setting the standard in training. We only see these guys for 90 minutes a week, the crucial 90 minutes I know, but there is more to the job than those 90 minutes.
Shame about Lualua. He had a couple of really good run outs but then got injured. I fear it was not his actual (potential) ability but his high wage and his obvious injury proneness. If he was guaranteed to play a full season, I would have kept him in a heartbeat...but no .
Karlos...... In all seriousness, I don't know why Holloway bombed him out, but as soon as Hall was injured Henry should have been utilised in that holding role in those last 7 or 8 games as he would have been the better option than the others that were tried as it got too bloody close for comfort. I know he wasn't everyone's cup of tea and became the fall guy but his role is simply to break up play and give the ball to the supposedly better players around him, he's not there to play 50 yard Hollywood balls a la Barton. He's made a decent living out of football despite not being a world beater, wish him well.
He didn't have many and he looked a way off match fitness, but still showed technical ability sadly missing otherwise. Maybe Morrison is finished, or maybe with a few more games he'd be back to where he was. Not with us it seems anyway. I'd love to see some quality in the squad. Whatever quality we have had the last 3 seasons at least we have got rid of, and this is reflected not only in our entertainment value, but also in our league positions. Not all of our attacking options need to be headless chickens.
Well done QPR for signing a waste of space gangster who sat around getting fat and was laughably poor on the pitch. Also well done for signing a player who is always injured who spent most of his time injured. As Clive said, if it quacks and looks like a duck, it's a duck. I can't believe anyone still actually wants Morrison- battered wife syndrome.
