I absolutely don't want to see Howson leave, but I'm still expecting a significant first team player to be sold in order to fund an overhaul elsewhere. Disregarding the source, I presume he means Chris Maxwell of PNE. Their first choice 'keeper this season with 10 clean sheets, but who has also recently signed a contract extension through to 2020. Good age, but surely the fee PNE would want is unlikely to make him a "clever" signing, financially speaking.
Someone else thinks likewise Martin Norwell@MartinNorwell @paddyjdavitt any news on defensive rumours for #NCFC? Seems too quiet for an area we actually need to strengthen
I have no idea who this Ryan White is - but he's one grade A t0sser Ladies and gents, allow me to present the most feeble conspiracy theory of recent times https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/2...-norwich-city-for-leeds-united/#gallery-slide I'm glad the twat has done his research and so can state with complete confidence that he'd "definitely want to leave for Leeds Utd" So he doesn't fancy another crack at the Prem then? You surprise me, you complete moron apologies, rant over
Nick Mashiter@nickmashiter Norwich ready to sell Yanic Wildschut just five months after signing him for £7million. Link to follow. #ncfc
All unsubstantiated but interesting if true. https://www.clubcall.com/norwich-city/norwich-prepared-to-sell-winger-yanic-wildschut-1851823.html
MK Dons have just completed the signing of conor McGrandles from City http://www.mkdons.com/news/article/2016-17/dons-capture-conor-from-canaries-3719899.aspx
And this story/rumour is also iinteresting - "Wildschut signed from Wigan in January and has made nine appearances for the Canaries, scoring once, but will be one of the casualties of Norwich’s rebuild if they can find a buyer. The 25-year-old has struggled to impress in his brief time at Carrow Road but is on big wages. Norwich beat Derby to his signature but the Canaries need to trim their squad, with Jarvis and Naismith prime contenders to leave due to their wages." Always reassuring that we're carrying out business properly when a promising youngster can get snapped up within a couple of weeks of us deciding to let him go! That said, good luck to him, he had a major injury setback and his route to the first team looked thoroughly blocked by both senior players and other youngsters.
I like the sound of this one - https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/t...o-replace-howson-with-if-he-leaves-for-leeds/ and on a free!!!
What's the thinking behind getting shot of Wildschut? Having cost £7m just 3 - 4 months ago, why would you spend a large sum and then sell him so soon after buying him? High wages? How can we afford to get rid of him so early into his contract?
Buffonery and total inability to target the correct players in the areas that needed strengthening most. CENTRE BACK
Apparently there's a 19 year old CB in League two who's available on a free transfer and his wages are reasonable. The only downside is that he's only 5'8" and walks with a limp. Never mind, the price is right!
