I think that's the way our posters prefer it. The Spurs board is active and lively, compare that to the Chelsea board and the Arsenal board where personal abuse was rife. I don't know if that is still the case because I only visit Spurs except on rare occasions.
The Prem board is a zoo. If you can't take banter, some if it can seem quite insulting, then best stay away. Problem was, as always, Hiag and Piskie! Piskie cleverly recruited others to his 'cause' and they were hounding Hiag all over the board. Hiag responded by posting more Wum threads, and the whole thing snowballed. It was spreading like a virus all over virtually every thread. I'm not sure brb has any particular dislike of Hiag, but Hiag certainly hadn't helped himself on this.
Just wish to rectify one part of the OP's accusation, actually I DO NOT dislike HIAG! Quite the opposite in fact, I would like him to have stuck around, however, being his usual twatish self he couldn't see that all I wanted was for him to calm down on the wumming for a short while, which then takes up my time. Now he can wait until I calm down and I will let him back eventually.
Liking or not liking is too subjective. I just meant that when you have interevened you have pulled up HIAG but ignored all the baiting nonsense from posters who set themselves against him. I get you wanted a quick end to it all I just think you chose the wrong poster to make an example of. There was no malice to Hiag, can't say the same of others. Decision is made and I will leave it there. Just wanted to make my point.
You claimed I didn't like HIAG, regardless of how many words you post, I reiterate your comment was untrue. You used the so called subjective word, I merely corrected your inaccuracy. I will leave it there. Just wanted to make my point to.
HIAG was a laugh and will be missed by me, some didn't like his wummery but it was always tongue in cheek with a good sense of humour, as SD said, there was never really any malice from him. I get and understand brb's need to ban him due to complaints from others but I think it would've been far easier if Bod (and anyone else) to just hit the ignore option if they didn't like his stuff. Admittedly he instigated a lot of responses through his articles but there was a **** load of abuse thrown at him - even evidenced by that 24 hour period where he tagged Bod in every single post (about 200 maybe even 300 I think) which mentioned him in a derogatory term. Hopefully it's just a temporary ban... And hopefully the snitches and moaners just stick to Sky's "Pussy Thread". Condolences to Saintsfan, too
He even got banned for that tagging! I accept BRB when he says it wasn't due to any dislike, but you do have to wonder how he would treat someone he actually disliked.
Haha I remember that, he came back and ripped into Piskie IIRC because it was he who reported him. Thing is, whether anyone else would admit it, a lot were drawn to the Prem board for the banter, there was never really much genuine football talk anyway, it's opposition fans just having a laugh and HIAG was a main contributor to that. Some just got nasty once they realised HIAG was too much for them, sort of like when a kid loses an argument so they just result to saying "**** your Mum".
exactly so. HIAG, bless him, didn't know when to back off, so it could get tedious. However I blame others more for that personally. But we are where we are. Hopefully when he comes back, BRB might actually see what goes on there before bans get handed out.
To be clear, brb created a sticky whereby Hiag and his pack of 'fans' could **** each other 24/7 if they wanted to. Those that didn't want to read that **** then wouldn't have to. Like luv, Bod, and others, I was getting very bored with every thread getting hijacked by their constant bickering. Even that idea met with resistance. brb gave Hiag time to respond. He didn't and that was that.
