Lashing down now and meant to get worse tomorrow especially around 3pm till 8pm? I'm sure Moaninho will do all he can to get game played?

Not raining in Southampton now and only drips and drops overnight. We had a bit earlier, but that just saves on sprinkling it. Heavy rain showers forecast for Wednesday, but they often get it wrong for Southampton. They didn't get today's exactly right and that was with only hours forecasting.

Why would it get called off for rain? You realise we aren't playing in a local park right? When was the last time a premier league match got called off because of rain?

Last abandoned Premier League match was in 2006 at Vicarage Road. Pitch quality has only improved since then. Not going to happen.

Typical BBC, talking it up last night that we all best get out and start building an ARK.

There is a greater risk of injury on a sodden pitch so Manchester United may wish to protect their players and field a second string. Jose's reputation and Manchester United's income is hanging on them winning the Europa Final and getting into the Champions' League.

Thread closed. If you want to talk about the match, use the match thread. If you want to talk about the weather, use Manolo's.
