FFS Calm down everyone ! Apologies. Not my intention to upset the (unbelievably) superstitious amongst us. I've got ahead of myself. But...the only concern we had was West Ham as we had a poor record against them and they could have sprung a "last day at home" performance on us. As it happened we deservedly smashed them. Boro are RELEGATED and have been woeful away all season. Don't anyone tell me that out of the blue they'll rediscover some form when they are desperate for the season to end. Remember that Arsenal have to win their remaining games to even be a threat.
Spurs are closest in terms of quality, obviously....over 38 games, the league doesnt lie. (Except last season when we finished 10th ). Klopp has done great with what he has. I have said many times, and I mean no disrespect, and most of you will disagree, but I really dont rate your squad at all, individually. Only Coutinho and Mane would get anywhere near ours or Spurs' teams. I really didn't expect you to be contending for top 4 at all, yet you are on the verge of achieving it, so props to Klopp and your team. He will definitely need to reinforce in the summer if he wants to maintain top 4 AND compete in the CL. Surely your owners will give him some bank in the summer, you guys have been on a sell to buy policy (seems like anyway) for a long time, FSG haven't stumped up since their first season owning the club, if they want to make the step up, they will need to.
The thing is Klopp has had 2 transfer windows to improve the squad, and like you say only Coutinho and Mane would get a look in at any of the top sides. The rest of the squad is very average. So he's not improving them at all. If anything he is making them worse, when you look at how BR did when he had a clear season to concentrate on the league with no European games. Klopp even managed to find a worse goalkeeper than Mignolet, to apparently improve the squad. Who'd have thought it was even possible to find a goalkeeper worse than Mignolet?
Seriously though, Liverpool have had a "Sell to Buy" policy for a while now. With the extra stand and increased attendances, plus CL qualification to bring in some extra Moolah, FSG need to give Klopp some decent funds this summer. If they want this CL qualification to be more than a lucky "one off" due to problems at Man United and Arsenal, then they need to stump up the cash.
He was just some random guy Barcelona picked up off the streets of South America, and sold on to City as Claudio Bravo Chile's number 1
Who the **** is CPofL? Why should I be frightened? Who the **** are you? What came first, the chicken or the egg?
1) Some **** on the Chelsea board who used to chase away any poster who supported a rival team and wanted to keep our board Chelsea fans only, because he was a **** 2) You shouldn't 3) Bodanki - But Spurs fans anointed me the pope, so I have accepted the mantle 4) They've cracked it at last! The chicken DID come before the egg By Daily Mail Reporter UPDATED: 08:02, 14 July 2010 It has been the ultimate philosophical and scientific mystery for centuries - until now, that is. Scientists yesterday claimed to have cracked the riddle of whether the chicken or the egg came first. The answer, they say, is the chicken. Researchers found that the formation of egg shells relies on a protein found only in a chicken's ovaries. please log in to view this image Scientists have discovered that eggs can only have been laid by chickens, thus solving the puzzle Therefore, an egg can exist only if it has been inside a chicken. The protein - called ovocledidin-17, or OC-17 - acts as a catalyst to speed up the development of the shell. This hard shell is essential to house the yolk and its protective fluids while the chick develops inside. Scientists from Sheffield and Warwick universities used a super computer to 'zoom in' on the formation of an egg. The computer, called HECToR and based in Edinburgh, revealed that OC-17 is crucial in kick-starting crystallisation - the early stages of the creation of a shell. The protein coverts calcium carbonate into calcite crystals which make up the shell. Calcite crystals are found in numerous bones and shells but chickens form them quicker than any other species - creating six grams (0.2oz) of shell every 24 hours. Dr Colin Freeman, from Sheffield University's Department of Engineering Materials, said: 'It had long been suspected that the egg came first but now we have the scientific proof that shows that in fact the chicken came first. 'The protein had been identified before and it was linked to egg formation but by examining it closely we have been able to see how it controls the process. 'It's very interesting to find that different types of avian species seem to have a variation of the protein that does the same job.' Professor John Harding, from the same department, said the discovery could have other uses. 'Understanding how chickens make egg shells is fascinating in itself but can also give clues towards designing new materials and processes,' he said. 'Nature has found innovative solutions that work for all kinds of problems in materials science and technology - we can learn a lot from them.' The discovery was revealed in the paper Structural Control Of Crystal Nuclei By An Eggshell Protein
