Eddie Howe was at Loftus Road for a game where I happened to be sitting near the posh seats. Their goalkeepers are crap so I'm putting 2+2 together.

Fine, if he is making a big step up and the money is good.

I will be very annoyed if he goes sideways to Reading, Fulham, Villa, etc.

I wouldn't say that only four clean sheets out of 46 games constitutes 'a remarkable season.'

That was mainly down to the inept performances of those in front of him - his penalty saves alone make it a stand-out season for him and without his contribution I'm sure we would be playing League 1 football next season.

What have we come to selling our player of the season to the mighty Bournemouth

Boruc certainly is a bit eccentric and erratic at times, but his goalkeeping skills have helped Bournemouth accumulate 45 points and PL safety this season.

I see Boruc is 37, just signed a one year contract extention, so perhaps the case - I'm sure Smithiies wouldn't want to be left sitting on the bench as #2 though next season.

Artur Boruc would have been out of contract at the end of the season

Bournemouth goalkeeper Artur Boruc has extended his deal at the club until summer 2018 after triggering an appearance clause in his contract.

The former Celtic and Southampton keeper joined Bournemouth on loan in 2014 when they won promotion to the Premier League and made the move permanent the following year.

His contract had been due to expire in the summer.

The 37-year-old Poland international has made 32 appearances this season.

"We're really pleased for Artur, he's been so consistent for us and in really good form. He's won us points this season," boss Eddie Howe said.

Be sad to see him go as he's the best keeper we've had in quite some time, but he deserves the opportunity to play in the Prem if it's offered to him.

We've got a capable replacement in our ranks, so it's perhaps the best move for all parties.

Should he leave, then I hope that we make a good profit and wisely re-invest it new players.

I think we need to need to accept that in our current position, we should buy or develop our own players and if they "stand-out", then we should then capitalise on the situation. Of course, we should then re-invest in other high potential players and raise the average level of our team.

In this situation we have a good back up already developed.
