I agree. Judging him now is way too premature. Gomes, on the other hand, has had plenty of time to settle - and still looks like a clown.

He took him to the cleaners for 35 minutes.
Then Corluka came on and that was the end of Young.

Jordan has said that we are out to win the EL so they will be focussed on it. I think we are in for a tough time up there.

I never get my hopes up for OT!, but Jones and Smalling in front of a nervous keeper is good for us I'd say.

Before we get too excited, let's not forget that our "strikeforce" (Which we can only pray is added to before Monday) Misfired against much worse defences than that, last season.

Good players individually I agree, but as I said, no overexpectation from me, but any slight weak point gives a small ray of hope of getting something from the game up there.

De Gea will struggle to win over people now, when the pundits and media see a weakness in a player they usually pounce on it and then highlight every little mistake the keeper makes.

That goal he conceded yesterday was terrible, for Atletico he was the same, good at close up shots but not so great at long range shots.
De Gea is finding his feet in new surroundings. He'll be getting plenty of practice under the high ball in training in the next week. And unless Spurs change their style of play, I can't see that an aerial threat from high balls into the box will be a particular concern anyway. Long ball to Crouch is a myth, isn't it?
And before you get too far ahead of yourselves, remember thet Utd tend to find attack the best form of defence at OT.
Does a record of 55/57 points at home last season give you cause for optimism?
If Harry thinks it will get results, you can bet on seeing lots of high balls to Crouch, with VDV lurking. Assuming Bambi isn't playing for Stoke next week, that is.
