LFC had awards ceremony tonight.

Headlines were following.

Young Player of the Season – Trent Alexander-Arnold
First Team Players’ Player of the Season – Sadio Mane
Academy Players’ Player of the Season – Ben Woodburn
Special Recognition Award – Lucas Leiva
Goal of the Season – Emre Can
Player of the Season – Sadio Mane

Seems about right. Mane probably had most impact this season, plenty of goals and assists.

Not had many young players come through and make a place their own but TAA certainly looks the one that will step up. Same with Woodburn.

Can for goal of the season is hard to argue with. The Mane goal v Arsenal in first game of the season would have won it for me before Can's goal though. Picked it up wide right beat a man, cut in and fired it into top corner. Brilliant debut.

Young player of season: taa
U23 player of season: Wilson
U18 player of season brewster

Senior player of season:Mane
God loves a trier award: Lucas.
How has he not walked in front of a bus award: moreno
Most improved: mingolet
Best signing: Mane
Best goal: Mane v arsenal.. forget over head flukes lads this one was on short list.
Best hair: Karius but special mention to can.
Sorry your career is over lifetime recognition award: Henderson
Oh you play for us???? Award: danny ings. Sturridge is disgusted btw.
Biggest disappointment: league cup SF.
Player with whitest teen award: Firmino

And finally.

Award for being able to throw tantrums and get away with it award: herr klopp.
 
An odd time to have an awards night tbh. We haven't achieved anything yet and still have 2 games to play. If we end up not getting champions league I'd be embarrassed to have received some of these awards, complete mediocrity

yup. we had this last year too before the europa.. I would personally be saying WTF....

Sadly... well we always has a memorial service on April 15th for obvious reasons and sadly that did have some impact in some years on team preparations but for me that was needed but now gone and the teams ow have that removed. A private after training on the day minutes refection was held this year

To have a party with the season still going on seems absolutely stupid to me. It says to me the season is over. mentally it has to send that signal to players

why not have this between the last game of season and the lucrative end of season friendly (which you can schedule in august so all players know it) Have a party, get on the plane.. **** off to australia... put in a half arsed performance and start your hols form there lads.
