He is a bit duplicitous then, because he said this on the very same day!...

"The new situation is different. We are in the middle of our new project. Nicola knows of my decision to stay; I have spoken to him. I am fully committed to the staff, the players, the club and it would make no sense to leave in the middle of our path."

Ah, Talk****e. Always accurate. I think the new owners destroyed the path.

Uncle Sky will be along shortly to tell you all that it is entirely feasible and that, even if it isn't, it was always part of HIAG's cunningly ingenious plan to catch you all out from the start and that under no circumstances should this be seen as a cataclysmic fcuk up on his favourite nephew's part <laugh>

Anyone know what odds the bookies are offering on some furious early hours cartoon photoshopping in an attempt to mitigate the enormity of this latest wummery catastrophe? <doh> <rofl>

It was a direct quote...<laugh>

Same owners and a lot of the players that left gave the reason for leaving as "The manager left and there was instability". unfortunately you can't stop greedy people being unloyal, that is modern football as you might well find out in the future..

What new owners? <doh>

Yeah really destroyed the path mate, since then had 2 seasons finishing higher than Poch did for us meaning that 7000 Saints fans could go to the San Siro this season...

Those bastard owners <grr>

Look mate you obviously have your opinion, but try to refrain from talking utter ****e <ok>

Do you think that if Poch stayed you would have achieved more, the same or less success?

Mate, there was plenty duplicity, of that I can assure you. If you are happier with your own somewhat sanitised version of events - "alternative facts", shall we say, then fine . The truth is he lied to SFC, & conducted negotiations with spurs in secret whilst still under contract. But it's all forgotten now.

I'm going by what the 2013 article that I've linked says. In it, Pochettino very clearly states that his loyalty is to Cortese, the man who placed faith in him. And that if Cortese leaves, then he will too. That was in May 2013. He didn't join us until 12 months later in May 2014.

I don't really know how much clearer he can be!?

Impossible to say. How would he have coped with losing his best players? Was it easier to just move on? You lot will probably find out in the next couple of years or so...

Either way what does that have to do with you claiming our new owners (they never changed) had destroyed our path, when since Poch left we've been to a cup final and had European football... neither of which MP could deliver.

Personally I think Southampton are currently achieving their optimum.

They need proper investment to make the next step.

I thought you might have been referring to the Summer before... but if that's the case can why claim your fully committed later on that year? See SaintsAlive link.

Also ((away from Saints but generally) I think it's a bit ****ty to say your only loyalty is with the person that employed you. Of course that's where your deepest loyalties lie but you should show some respect to the supporters of the club your employed by too.
