He's being "Let Loose now" ? F1 obviously had the animal on a leash or something.

The Fonze has many faults, but a mug he is not! He's done us F1 lot good by all accounts but I haven't a clue about this oval stuff - some may say the same about F1 :1980_boogie_down:

110 laps and top speed of 220mph with hardly any twitches. He will be just fine. But should remember the race isn't won on lap 1.

I like his openness about being a novice again...

"At the beginning, the right foot has its own brain and it was not connected to my brain. I wanted to go flat-out but the foot wouldn't let me. But after a few laps it was fine."

"Everything went fine so far," Alonso said. "The circuit looks so narrow when you are at that speed. I was trying different lines but I was not as comfortable as I probably will be in a couple of weeks' time."

Humility, keeping things in perspective, but also quiet confidence. And I'm sure the other elite F1 drivers would be similar.

Whatever the outcome, I hope the whole experience gives him the lift that he needs, after Honda's woeful start to this F1 season.

Seems like he's enjoying it so far.

McHonda should worry he likes it too much and goes to Indy for 2018. :)

I was talking about this race last night, and for some reason I had a really good feeling that Alonso might just actually win this thing. Maybe it was just the booze! :)
