May not be a bad thing for you. Whilst at Everton he pulled the likes of Tim Cahill and Phil Jagielka out of the championship so he knows how to pick the right players from the lower leagues.
We'll see.

More of aYou must log in or register to see imageskind of situation fella. We've got a period where we need to concentrate on debt as some of it is being called in by our creditors soon. Add to that, this season is going to end with18 seniors at the club which could drop to 8 if all the expected players leave and we need to get that squad up to 40. A grim reality people quick forget when they talk about summer investment and wanting players like Chris Woods or Ulloa, not happening, we don't have that sort of cash. I've made peace already that nothing too ambitious is going to be happening on the pitch for a while.
Yeah I know mate, was only ****ing about
I haven't really posted on here much since weekend but you seem to have your head screwed on with entire situation (and have done most of the season).
A lot of it runs similar to things I've posted on here throughout the season... impossible to know exactly what to expect until you see how Short intends to approach it.
I expect a lot of matchgoing fans will enjoy the experience more though, and I expect atmosphere will improve.
Step forward SKP! I think i'm the only one who thinks he would be a perfect fit for us.Personally I think its a poor league with the majority of teams at a poor standard. If Dave does go then the very least I expect is a younger more vibrant manager who likes the attacking football. Karanka is not that man. Saying that he did get them promoted......

Anyone like that in the background behind Phillips would be a massive improvement! With Zenden as assistant
I heard Gary monk is being lined upBut agree Karanka a big no - damaged goods and would not be welcomed by many.
We need a charismatic manager who excites the fans by his prescence here - if damaged dour dave goes, but he may walk the walk and be successful here next year (unlikely )

Young, hungry, would play an attacking style of football (i'm just presuming that like!) and he would surely bring people in to help coaching who also know what the club is all about. Alex Rae or Bally, Peter Reid etc...Keane got us up 1st time in his 1st job as manager...
Surely any new manager would be a gamble but we need a manager the opposite to Moyes with fresh ideas. He would instantly lift the place!...
jokanovic I would loveJaap Stam
Carlos Carvahal
Wagner
Jokanovic
Monk
Pearson
Any of the above.
Not sure about Monk - I get same image in my head of failure as moyes and "our 3rd tier enemy"I heard Gary monk is being lined up
Jaap Stam
Carlos Carvahal
Wagner
Jokanovic
Monk
Pearson
Any of the above.
Surprisingly nobody has suggested any wild card managers.
