Yep. He was given the penalty at the time, which a teammate converted. He's been handed a two-match retrospective ban today.
Tie over.... But would have been more interesting if Ramos had rightly got a red for the elbow in the first half and Isco picked up a 2nd yellow. Twatkinson strikes again!
That's amazing stuff, and insert applaud icon which I don't know how to do. Of course the FA don't have the balls to do it here. I would even go further and give the team that benefited a retrospective points deduction. I'm not saying award the points to the other team, just that the cheating team should get some kind of punishment too, because it could still be borderline worth it if you win an important match through cheating, even if the guy later gets banned.
Completely agree. I don't hate Arsenal for the sake of it any more. If they get a CL spot at the expense of the Manchesters I'd be very happy. Even happier if Chelski don't get one too! I vote for say, us Bournemouth, Hull and Brighton instead.
I notice Lyon have a player called N'Koulou. Do you think they would realise if we just swapped him for N'Koudou in the summer?
He's some player. The generosity he shows to others less fortunate is worthy of praise as well. He can be an arrogant tw*t. But he's a top footballer and is often an A1 human being too.
With his hat trick against Atletico, the Oily Rat took his Champions league goal tally to 102 - which is two more than Atletico have managed as a club ...although if you take off the goals that were clearly offside or penalties won for the most blatant of dives, he's be somewhere in the mid-60s.
Surprising as Ajax aren't all that. The bookies had Utd v Lyon as a virtual certainty in the final. Ajax 7/1 outsiders. So Ajax v Celta Vigo in the final it is then.
I never fancied Monaco v Juventus. The Italians are too savvy; too strong in defence. They were never going to play like City or Dortmund.
