At the risk of flogging a dead horse, CalcioMercato are reporting that Inter have placed long-time target/player papers can't help but link us with Marcelo Brozovic on the transfer list. The same Inter which have an interest in Sissoko. I wonder if there's a mutual ground for us?

Talking about players we've been linked with for bloody ages, Sandro Ramirez is once again being linked, as is the mention of his £5m release clause. He's been in good form for Malaga this season, and these terms are the sort of thing that would cause Levy Mode to activate - but the obvious question is where he'd fit in, given we play with one striker yet having both Janssen and SR in reserve make it one hell of a juggling act.

Brazil forward Neymar, 25, believes Manchester United are prepared to activate the 200 million euro (£170m) release clause in his Barcelona contract. (Daily Record)

No, they are not!

What kind of fantasy World do these ego-ridden prima donnas live in?

The hacks will write something like this, but then entertain even the remotest possibility that Spurs might let City have Walker and Rose for £60m for the pair!

Unbelievable!

And the Telegraph continues to peddle the Walker to Citeh ****....... They have so far listed the following reasons:
1 Kyle's unhappy with his wages
2. DL doesn't want to pay him more
3. DL wants to cash in for £30m
4. Walks unhappy at missing recent games including SF
5. Errrrr ..... That's it!! No quotes from player, advisors or clubs...

Strangely not mentioning the obvious one: Northern lad homesick and wanting to move closer to Sheffield.
Don't imagine that's the case either, but at least it might help the narrative of a move to another PL club, when by their own report they accept DL wouldn't countenance that!!
Damn it - shouldn't have given them that one!! Lol

Manchester City believe they can tempt Tottenham into selling Kyle Walker, despite chairman Daniel Levy's preference being a move abroad for the 26-year-old right-back - if manager Mauricio Pochettino gives the green light on a move. (Daily Telegraph)

<doh>

If Poch gives the green light?

Firstly, he won't. Secondly, he won't. Oh, and thirdly, he wont.

Levy must be laughing at these tossers.

Chelsea and Everton will have to break the bank to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly and hope the Italian club can identify a replacement for the 25-year-old. (Daily Mirror)

Well, straight away, the mention of Chelsea "breaking the bank" completely blows Everton out of the water!

Charlie Adam and Danny Mills both agree Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho should look to sign John Terry, who will leave Chelsea this summer. (BBC Radio 5 live)

I hope they do. We could all start referring to The Smug One as Captain Mainwarring!

LEVY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the hacks are actually told these things, I'm sure Levy will already know.

It makes me laugh, the idea that clubs wanting to secure good, young talent, instead of going about the task in a quiet and clandestine manner to keep everything under wraps, go immediately to gobby hacks so they can splash it all over the hack-sheets and warn every single one of their rivals!

The point is, it only takes one gobshite in a club to seriously ruin things.

Some of you may recall that in the Bale summer, Spurcat said the club had officially
told all personnel to say nothing to the press on the matter. I also recall he said
someone did exactly that towards the end and was caught (trying to make some
money out of it) .

CalcioMercato are reporting that Newcastle want to re-sign Sissoko in the summer.

How long before the HMRC are banging at Levy's door to charge him with player laundering?

With the way we've been mugged off, HMRC won't have much of a case.

If you leak things after you've been told not to, then you're a bit stupid, in my opinion.
That thing where you tell everyone different things to see what version you hear back didn't start on Game of Thrones.
If you're warned about leaks, then expect action to follow shortly.
