In 2004, I ran a number of race events, including the San Francisco Marathon.

Pixie, being the juvenile that he is, doubts my claim and has requested that I post a photo of my medal. After digging around for it (we are going back some 13 years, folks!) I have found it, and it will be a piece of piss for me to post a photo of it.

Nothing would give me more pleasure than to have Pixie eat his words.

However, this isn't just about me. This issue raises an important point, and could create a dangerous precedent for the future of this board.

Should we only purport to make claims on this board, in the casual course of a post, on the basis that we will immediately back up those claims with proof?

I'm putting this vote to the lads, which means that I am going to discount the votes of Bambi and Skiddy.

I am going to discount, also, the vote of Saints08 - not because he is not one of the lads, but because of the continuing and juvenile belief that he is a "sock" account of mine. Sorry, mate.

If the majority of you vote for me to post the proof, I will do so on or before Midnight, on Sunday, 30 April. There will be no ifs or buts, just straight-down-the-line plain honesty from me.

All I ask is that you think very carefully about this before setting a precedent.

A little economical with the truth here HIAG, you offered to show your medals as proof, Piskie did not initially demand it.

Yes, that is a fair comment, Gutsy.

Pixie was making a big song and dance about it and getting over-excited that some of us have lives to live in the real World, and to shut him up I casually suggested that I could prove my assertion by posting a photo of my medal.

Of course, I never expected the demented bastard to make such an issue about it!

But, you are quite right to raise the issue.

Believe it or not, I am trying to save Pixie from having to eat humble pie!

You see, when if I do post evidence to back up the claim on which Pixie has challenged me, he will have to offer a full and unreserved apology to both me and to this board. He won't be able to bring himself to do it, and will make all kinds of pathetic excuses, even though there will be no where for him to hide or run to, and he will be undone as a bottler.

I have stitched him up like a kipper!
