How many of us will be Walsall supporters Tuesday night !!!!!!!
A draw or a defeat for Port Vale will see us safe.
But the fact there is a Prem and Championship matches will the Div 1 match be on TV.
I for one will be hoping it is on TV and UP THE SADDLERS

Indeed, come on you Saddlers! Have far more faith in you than our team!

A draw does not see us safe though - Vale could still overturn our goal difference with a big win on Sunday.

If Vale get a draw tomorrow night then yes, we are still not absolutely safe. However, without getting over-confident, I can't see Fleetwood giving the match away on Saturday. They still have a chance of automatic promotion, and although Rosler has said they will follow what's going on in other matches during the game he'll have to start with his best side and not rest players for the play-offs. On that basis I can't see them shipping a load of goals.

That leaves our defence not to concede too many.

And me 5 days to get an adequate supply of tablets from the doctors.

Tim,

I love the confidence but I want to remind you of the 2009-10 season. 5 teams were fighting to avoid the drop for the remaining 2 places that had yet to be confirmed. We were in the best position of all of these.

We lost 3-0 to Wycombe and everyone else won so we ended up back in League 2.

If there's Vale win or draw tonight, then I can see exactly the same happening sunday. This is Gillingham after all.

Remember the Forest game as well, and at Wrexham when we needed a win to guarantee automatic. when the chips are down, we implode.

I remember Forest winning, drawing, winning drawing then a last-minute goal sent us down, we do not do anything by halves

My original post was about the situation on Sunday if Vale got a draw tonight. Regardless of tonight's result I still don't think goal difference will send us down. I can't see us losing by 6 on Sunday - 5 would make goal differences the same, and we would stay up by virtue of having scored more goals, unless Vale draw 15 all with Fleetwood, which won't happen.

So Vale still need to win on Sunday, and I stand by my point about Fleetwood needing to put out a side to win the match.

However the size of the banana skin on Sunday has increased somewhat because of tonight's result, and I'll certainly be bricking it if at 90 minutes on Sunday we're not winning and Vale are drawing.

Do you know what. We deserve to go down. Abject capitulation last season ,poor management by JED and even worse by Scally in opting for a cheap untried option in Pinnock. A new broom needed in the summer

On Betfair we're still 6/1 to get relegated. Vale are 9/1 on

So if you fancy a punt you could get your L2 season ticket at an 83% discount, or your L1 season ticket with a 16% surcharge

In some ways I'm pleased that it's down to us to put in a performance and save ourselves rather than rely on the ineptitude of others. We have been shocking under both managers this season and we have one more chance to prove we deserve to stay in this league.

I'm not, these players have bottled it time and time again. They bottled promotion last season and have bottled too many performances this season. Think we need to play 6 at the back on Sunday for any sort of chance of us pulling this off.
