If you're not careful, you'll end up as the Man City of the Championship. Loads of individuals that cost a fortune to buy on big wages, but not playing as a team or playing for the team or each other.

As with West Ham, on paper the strongest squads, but the game isn't played on paper, it's played on grass!

That is a possibilty yes.

Though I must point out Cardiff bottling it in the last few seasons, I didn't see much evidence of team spirit or cohesion then, despite having quite a few very good individuals <whistle>

i dont think he's wumming danger, genuine point. However, i dont think this is the case. ccfc- in the car on the way back the one thing that me and the father were saying was how this WASNT the case. They were all always talking and seemed a tight knit bunch- something that i think sven has really worked on. We purely just missed someone to put it in the back of the net for us!!

Certainly not wumming. Last season our squad looked good on paper. We didn't have a problem scoring goals, it was letting them in. Lack of application on times with players going missing for chunks of a game. This year, man for man we're weaker on paper. Fewer egos to massage though!

I agree with Ed. Last season it was evident that there wasn't much team spirit but the same can't be said for this season. The game against Cov showed that. The two weeks in Sweden and Austria will really have helped for team spirit and will have helped the new players to gel and the players living in one another's pocket will have done wonders for team spirit.

We will need team spirit when we do have performances like Saturday and that can get you through some bad performances. I actually don't mind things like shouting on the pitch because it shows they care and want to win. Anyone who's seen the England cricket team will know they're always shouting at each other in the field because they want the best from them and that is no bad thing.
