To be honest I don't get the Benitez " love in ". I think in many of our home games the pragmatic approach has not been necessary with the players we have. Admittedly the priority was to get promoted, however it should have been more convincing.

Think this sums up this season... average/solid bunch at this level with a couple with a bit more quality... should still go up but major rebuild needed this summer.

Still think Murphy should have been on - would have seen it out properly.

If we can take any positives Hayden really improved the midfield - hopefully hooking him early means he's in line for a start on Mon and both Anita and Mbemba looked way better.

Lascelles needs to take a long hard look at himself mind (and Diame) - hope Clarke is back soon.

spot on ...strange to bring that diame in to that place where he is ****e ( no 10 ) should of been murphy to hold the ball up and waste time ... not fall over it like diame does ...

Well for what it's worth we battered them best game I've seen nitro have for a long time...Lascelles what's shot with ****ing ****e for not picking Woods up for there goal....Green had a blinder we are still going up then the hard work begins..KTF.

You lot need to realise how good you have it before you start questioning if Rafa is right person just because he's taking you up potentially in 2nd rather than 1st.

Newcastle are biggest team in championship and teams will always up their game against you. They'll sit back and frustrate and play for a draw when come to SJP. You probably don't quite have the quality of players to break them down all the time and Rafa has never been an attack at all costs type of manager.

Next year, when you will be more counter attacking and you sit back and defend he will be great manager and ensure you stay up and sit mid table.
