Well guys, it looks like the chickens have come home to roost a bit in the first 2 games.

But let's not give Grayson too much grief. He can only work with what is available.

Bates said we were signing 4 players and the ambition was to reach the premiership.
Well you can't do that on a shoestring budget. The Championship is a much tougher league this season than last.

Part of me wishes Grayson would come out and tell Bates to go f**k himself and quit.
I suppose that's not going to happen and it is more likely that Bates will sack him.

I don't see how anybody can defend Bates over the wheelings and dealings of the summer months. Sure you can argue he 'saved' the club. But that's history now. We deserve better than this and are paying for it through the nose compared to some other clubs.
 
Fair enough, lets heap praise on Grayson. Second half of last two seasons a disgrace, saved only by an amazing 45 minutes in final game in Div1. Heres how i reckon itll pan out. Hell be sacked in another month, snoddy and gradel sold in january and graysons replacement will be another bates yes man. What a future we have under these two gobshites in charge

I couldn't agree more with this post. There are farrrrrr too many blinkered members on this board blindly believing in SG. We were VERY lucky to scrape up from league 1, I could have got us promoted with the biggest wage structure in the league from that ****hole division and STILL he nearly ****ed it up. Last season apart from the QPR games and maybe AT BEST 3 other matches we were poor and I still can't believe how we finished 7th. Last season was exactly the same for me as the 05/06 season, lucky in a lot of games and placed much higher than we should be, and we all know what happened the season after.

I'm trying hard not to moan about Grayson, but he took me to the limit when he substituted Snoddy with Thomson. A boy for a man. Why? Anyone got any idea? (and I don't accept that Snoddy was tired, btw).
 
I heard larry gave uncle ken a list of players he wanted and ken showed him an invoice for the east stand works and told him thetas where the money is for players! He was told to make do and wait for the loan Market.
