Trippier the best English right back in my opinion, always looks great when he plays.

You do wonder how long Spurs can keep hold of him. Forget money and the fact that he's playing for a club very much on the up, with CL football and a shot over the coming years of winning the PL. Someone of his quality should be playing every single week. He should be demanding regular first team football (which is difficult with Walker there) or a transfer away.

I was desperate for us to sign him when Burnley went down last time.

Think he'll be happy in rotation as long as he gets to do that embarrassing hand shake with Son/Ali/Dembele everytime he does anything

Something about the Spurs players and the way they all interact with each other screams 90s boy band to me. Like a reality TV show where they build the new Backstreet Boys or something

They are annoyingly good at football though. Absolute title contenders next year. Ides didn't tell me to say that by the way.

I'm interested to see if any of the real big boys who are in need of a bit of an overhaul (mainly City I suppose) target some of their players. Lot of rumours that City want Walker and Rose for example

Although they could buy the entire club twice over for that...

Anybody see this? Apparently, a freekick was given for handball, but I'm not sure that the ball moved the length of its circumference. I can't remember what stems from a ball not moving the required distance, but the linesman said 'handball'.

Yes, it was on MOTD on Wednesday. Law 17 doesn't actually specify the ball has to travel any set distance from a corner, but an indirect kick is given if the same player touches the ball twice. This was handball, though, hence a direct free kick.

    Cheers Chilco.

What's the old law where the ball has to move its circumference before another player can touch it.? I remember that famous Ernie Hunt/Willie Carr freekick for Coventry where refs have said it shouldn't have been given because it didn't move its circumference along the ground.

In a week where you play Swansea, Hull and Burnley, you have got to take more than two 0-0 draws. You had your chance Boro, enjoy the Championship next season.

    And then there was one.

Yes, but it could have been so much if Eastleigh had taken their chances at 0-0! Sounded like Lincoln's 1-0 win was very much undeserved.

But at least with Tranmere slashing the GD gap down from 11 to 3, I might only need Lincoln to lose once (rather than draw twice).

Sheff Utd and Doncaster have pretty much got their divisions wrapped up (even despite Plymouth's injury time winner). But I could do without any Newcastle or Chelsea slip-ups this evening, the former especially.

Straight fight between Swans & Hull now. Coming to the final hurdle. Fancy Hull to win it.

    HULL (30 points)

    Stoke A
    Watford H
    Saints A
    Sunderland H
    Palace A
    Spurs H

    SWANSEA (28 points)

    Watford A
    Stoke H
    Man Utd A
    Everton H
    Sunderland A
    WBA H

I know at this stage of the season fixtures go out of the window somewhat, but I do think on paper Hull have the easier run-in, in addition to the two point headstart.

Given West Ham's current form, and the opportunity to suck them right in, today was a big blow for Swansea. Hull would surely have always expected to lose away to City, so it's actually a good day for them.

I know Palace have got a hellish run-in, but something like one win and three draws (or, obviously, two wins) should be enough for them. Especially if they don't lose that game at home to Hull. With GD, they're 3.5 points ahead of Swansea with two games in hand.
