Bradley Lowery had to cancel a visit from his best mate Jermain Defoe after taking a turn for the worse.

Poor little lad. This shouldn't happen to a kid.

I gave up praying to a supposed omnibenevolent 'supreme being' when I was about 14, but I'd do it again if I thought it would do any good.

All I can do is send him, and all children like him, and their families, my best wishes.
