Well Mr. Webber, you´re some sort of fool
If you want to leave Huddersfield Town,
Some of their football makes me want to drool
While ours only makes us all frown

Taking a new challenge on is one thing
But when it´s a mountain to climb,
Suggests that any success that you might bring
Will take its fair share of time

Which is one thing some people haven´t got
In these days of instant reward,
So I hope you won´t find your seat getting hot
Almost before you´re safely on board

One thing´s for certain, you will need to find
A D.Wagner lookalike soon,
Who, with some luck, will turn out to be the kind
To emulate Brighton and Toon.

Welcome aboard ( when it happens) and all the best of British ( I´m pretty sure you´ll need plenty of it) <ok>

After that shocking display last night we HAVE to be patient and get the right man in as head coach, I just hope our fickle fans understand that!

Morning Dave, patience never has been that high on the list of attributes in and around Carrow Road, so I wouldn´t be too sure, and incidentally, I for one could quite understand if Mr. Webber is beginning to get cold feet already. <laugh>

Last night was just yet one more awful repeat of at least half this season´s performances - pitiful players, mournful boss, who can only watch on, in horror - just a shame we can´t sub all 11 players. :)

Embarrising to watch. Our defending was awfull, but the
problems are throughout the team (Jerome,Howson
excluded)Having wasted £M on Naismith,Van Winkle,
Wiltshut etc.I cannot see where the funds are coming
from.I fear for us next season,it reminds me of the
pre Lambert years

Which is exactly why I'm advocating the promoting of some of our youf - yes they may make mistakes and some may flounder (no more fishy puns please), but they can't be any worse than some of the hapless individuals currently being picked for first team duties!!!!

Only 2 subs utilised yesterday when we were 3 - 0 down. the perfect time to put a youngster on, Godfrey and Maddison on the bench, to give them some experience and see how they reacted. Big chance missed.
And so say ALL of us!!! <doh>

Webber added: "In terms of the next stage of my career, the opportunity to come to a club the size of Norwich was something which I couldn't turn down.

"The Club are embracing how things are done in Europe, where it's been successful for a number of years. The attraction of having the remit to come in and massively affect the football department, from the tip of the iceberg with the first team right down to the Academy, makes it an exciting challenge for myself.

"There's a real carte blanche to go and do it as I believe is right and you don't get many opportunities like that at big football clubs. To have that opportunity at a Club the size of Norwich City, with a Category One Academy, fantastic facilities already in place and a great fanbase is quite unique and I'm very appreciative of that.

"I can't wait to get started. We've got a big job on our hands, which everyone knows, so let's stick together and get on with it."

No sh1t Sherlock !

Well you should be pleased that he doesn't regard us as " little old Norwich!"

Thanks for those links KIO and I certainly like the way he talks and justifies what he says. <applause>
I'm certainly HOPEFUL of a pretty packed 'departure lounge' at the end of the season and I wonder how many of the players who were part oof the promotion team that took us to the PL back in 2011 will still be at CR when the new season kicks off in August?? I'd be surprised if there are more than 2 or 3. <ok>

All the regular posters are in a state of shock that at long last the board have found someone who can actually take the club forward and has a vision for where he wants the club to be. I really liked the fact that if he feels an Academy player is good enough, he will get his chance to prove himself and not always be just 'warming the bench'.
Obviously, it's not going to happen overnight, but I would like to think that by early next season, we should be seeing signs of a resurgence in our fortunes and I wonder who he has in mind for HC and from what he was saying, it's unlikely to be one of the current crop who're 'unemployed!!!!'
