MARTELLO PARK 12/1 in the mares bumper.
When off too fast in the listed mares race at Sandown but actually saw it out fairly well. A front running ride tomorrow but with a little more restraint would almost certainly see this one go very close. The raiders have a good record in the race and the Sandown form usually stacks up. The best two mares are missing so this is eminently winnable.

Earlier in the week I took 14/1 about SILVINIACO CONTI in the Bowl, EW paying three places. Very confident of a return.

Shame that Cap Soleil doesn't run in the bumper stick. I agree Martello Park ran a nice race at Sandown after trying to go with that fecking amateur lunatic on the Mullins mare. I also think Shearling will go well with the weight concession.

I backed EMPIRE OF DIRT 4/1 earlier in the week his run at Cheltenham was way to bad to be true- Don Cossack did exactly the same AP won on at this meeting- dissapointed in the Ryanair then bolted up in this race. He is a 3m and was not far beaten at all by Sizing John over in Ireland and I can't be having Cue Card at all tomorrow saying that I won't begrudge him winning as he is some horse! And would be great for racing!

Am also on the Defi Du Seuil, BVD, On The Fringe treble pays about 6/1 !

2.20- FORTH BRIDGE - 14/1 EW

I Think is spectacular value for for her majestys horse - shame she didnt have a runner at the festival but Initially the had the choice of the Fred winter and the Triumph and they chose the Triumph - which tells you how much they think of the horse but th fact they bypassed Cheltenham i think because the track wouldn't suit - this is a lot flatter track as we know and the ground should be fine and I was impressed with his wins his never give up attitude. Now I'm not saying He is going to win, however maybe for those that play the W/O market and like I the ew price I reckon he will be hard to pass For second and if anything happens to the Fav and he doesn't perform , he will be there to mop up the pieces

Good luck all <ok>

A couple for me in the fox hunter broken eagle and decade player, the latter being a winner at my local ptp he is a front runner but might not stay the extra distance 66/1 the former another front runner who is more likely to spring a surprise at 25/1
Cheers.

Really good days racing tomorrow, hopefully we can see a clear and good round by Cue Card.

I'm eager to take Top Notch on tomorrow but with what? Frodon is the solid yardstick and the trip should suit him more than Cloudy Dream. The issue tomorrow is the small field, wish we had more depth to it.

I am really excited to see a Grand Sefton winner take on the Foxhunters and at 14/1 I think Poole Master is a very fair price. The Foxhunters is a deeper race this year and hopefully they all get back home safely.

I can't have Buveur Dair at 1/3(Annie started 4/9 for an equally poor race last year) on his first run upped in trip. I'm probably nuts for backing The New One but he usually runs well here and at his best trip he's probably worth a bet.

Like Wooly I also fancy Empire Of Dirt for the same reasons. His Cheltenham run can't have been his running and this is his trip judged by the Irish Gold Cup.

Im not sure wether the Arkle or the JLT was better. But I'll swerve that debate and go with Frodon. It's hard to know how good this horse is as he keeps beating wats put in front of him. He could be a graded horse and he's runs against seasoned handicappers could be as good as the Novice Chasers. Ground and trip will suit.

Love the Thursday at Aintree. Great day out. Sadly can't make it this year. A few speculative ew multiples involving, Frodon, Distime, Double Ws at Aintree together with Swantykay at Limerick. Good luck all.

Very keen on DOUBLE Ws too was travelling like the best horse lto just didn't get home. Drop down in trip and good ground seems perfect for him!

In the NH trainers title race Henderson looks to have a decent chance of pulling further clear from Nicholls tomorrow. But will Nicholls blow him out of the water again by 5.30 Saturday evening. Certainly looks to have a lot more ammo than his rival in the big un. Only needs one good one though.

Aintree must be delighted to have attracted so many good horses to their Grade 1’s today but must say from a personal punting perspective it’s quite a strange, and not altogether attractive, card. How the five ‘shorties’ fare in the opening five heats will set the tone for the day in the bookie v punters battle and should 1-2 oblige the former will be victorious, 3 win then hands will be shaken on a ‘levilish’ day but if 4-5 find their way to the old ‘winners enclosure’ then the punters will be the one’s doing the old victory jig. Slightly bizarre, meanwhile, that we’ve only one handicap on the whole card today – Aintree hold 4 on Saturday! I realise I’ve blabbered on for a bit when simply I could have said ‘I’m waving the no bet banner today'.

Good luck all.

Don't fret, Chan. Mr Henderson's got one. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more...
