Morning, crew. It’s your friend and idol, Dr Sir Barney Chuckles OBE VC MFI M&S, back from the War.

Since when has Kim Bailey trained for Diana Wheatley?!? When I saw this I must say I was so shocked I had to go and lie down in the sick bay for half an hour. A lot of her charges are with the very, very talented Pip Hobbs or Gordon Elliott why not send it to one of them?!? I seriously question someone’s sanity who pays €110,000 for a horse (the above mentioned Rheagar) and then sends the bally thing to Kim Bailey! He gets the odd one right but countless others horrendously wrong. Could see him winning minor affairs with Rheagar but Mrs Wheatley…seriously Kim ‘Bothched Burglar’ Bailey?!? Rheagar now a non-runner today incidentally.

    Good luck, pilgrims.

Give me Kim Bailey ( MASTER TRAINER including Gold cups, champion hurdles and Gran national winners ) over Nicky " I can't train a national winner" the needle any day of the week.
Mrs Whateley ( NOT Wheatley) has obviously seen the light!

Sorry. My head is hung in shame at spelling the old girl’s name wrong. Shocking mistake from me, pilgrims, and Mrs Whateley if your reading this I do apologise.

Yes, but as I said last week those 3 successes you mention were all 20+ years ago. What’s he done since?!? An exceptional trainer does it year after year after year. Could it have been in the period 1990-95 he was surrounded by incredibly good members of staff and since them leaving has been horribly exposed?!?

Staying on the subject I’m a huge admirer of The Last Samuri (backed him in the GN last year when he went close) and in the back of my mind I always ponder what this horse could achieve if with someone else. Could he even be CGC class with the likes of Mr Henderson, Mr Nicholls or Pip Hobbs???

Just had a look on 'Sporting Life Fast Results'. If it was the 12.30 it was Flanker (7/1), 12.05 Antiquarian (10/1), 11.40 Storm Front (7/1).
