    Dreadful tackle.

That shows why refs should send players off for such tackles. Whether there is contact or not. When players throw themselves into such tackles they have no control and are not in a position to care for the welfare of their opponents.

Having said that, pundits and fans are partially to blame too. How often do we, they condemn refs when players get red cards for such tackles? Cries of overreacting, bias, "no contact", a mans game, contact sports etc etc.

Since we're playing them next, there will be some moral lacking posters on here jumping for joy at his injury...

No one should be happy about a player getting injured. It is not professional.

I've not read any comments on here since the injury. I was making reference to a conversation the other day when posters were happy about big players being missing from upcoming opposition teams.

I'd rather every team we face have their strongest XI. I'd rather earn something that be given it.

It may do. But unlike the Ramsey one I would prefer the focus to be on his recovery.....not laying the blame on Taylor

A double break like that could end his career mate. The hope would be that the break is clean, if it's not then he's got a long road back, and that's before you factor in the psychological effects of an injury like that if he does make it back onto the pitch

Best case scenario would be 9 months imo.

Apart from that, players are not usually as good as before the injury when they come back. I do not know why?

Definitely. No player (bar Roy Keane) goes out to intentionally injure another.

I disagree - there is a difference with feeling 'relieved' when an opposition player is injured through a routine tackle/challenge or picking up an injury in training, and a players seasons ended through the cowardice and recklnesses of another player.

    won't call Neil's challenge malicious.
But always thought Neil doesn't think too much or doesn't have a footballing brain.

oh well, hope - poor lad Seamus gets better soon.

Good luck to Ireland too. Hopefully they will qualify for the world cup and he can get back in time to feature.
