Who gives a ****, if the girl's are old enough then what's the problem?

People sleep around all the time, and far too many on here are far too judgemental. I bet half of those who condemned a wide age gap would sleep with an 18 yo if they could.

Many times, sex is just sex and is on the basic level. People get far too involved in moral dilemmas, and most the time that is just to tow the line or look good in print...

Glad you know so much about us all

Fwiw, I certainly wouldn't sleep with a 17 year old btw <ok>

Sorry, I thought you meant I referred to natural, misunderstood that. Also a typo from me as I meant 35 with a 16 year old, will edit that. But where do you draw the line? If both a 15 year old and an 18 year old agree would you say where is the harm?

Agree about mental maturity but it's a bit of a grey area as people mature at different ages, In the past I've met 17 year old girls who are much more mature than 21 year olds and of course vice versa. Obviously you have to have a limit on these things to protect people, I just think it's a tad low at the moment.

Like I mentioned earlier, the best situation for me would to have 2 ages. One for 16-21 and one for over 21s.

There is a line already drawn. Your discussion is whether that line is acceptable or not. (In terms of a relationship)

16 year old and 20 year old
17 and 25
18 and 30
19 and 35
20 and 40

Who is to say what the difference is in any of them. I couldn't.

All this is just bad publicity for the club from a player who our need of has diminished rapidly in recent weeks.
Better to get rid before he sullies the shirt too much, i'd rather see a youth player step up than have him play now.

I'm always surprised that famous or well known people (who will be of interest to the press) allow themselves to get involved in this sort of social media activity. Will they never learn....it's not as if he is an inexperienced youngster. Don't put anything on social media that you don't want to see all over the newspapers.

Would you stop and check the ID of a 17 year old who looked 24, just before jumping into bed after 6 pints of beer and a couple of hours dancing in a bar?

I'm not having a go or saying it's right, but just making the point that it is easy to make a statement in the cold light of day.

A 17 year old could be one week into his/her first day at 6th form, but he/she could also be 2 years into his/her hairdressing career or supermarket career, or any career that meant they left school before their 16th birthday.

What about 16 & 35? (The example I used)

No difference in that either?

What's the difference in that to a 17 or 18 and 35 year old? I was just throwing ages out there as an example to show how difficult it is to make a judgement. Again, not saying it's right, just saying it's too easy to judge.

You said yourself, "example"....

That was a successful load of bollocks you managed to write!

Let's not wait for any type of facts before we make an uninformed, knee jerk reaction. How do you knowwe ddon't need the player? Obviously we signed him up on £400k pw just to spunk the money as hewwasn't needed...

Funnily enough up until the age of (roughly) 21 I genuinely used to ask women for id...

I don't bother now as if the question needs to be asked then I work on the assumption that she's too young (for me).

Not sure what relevance your last paragraph has. A person in either situation could still be mentally immature and/or very naive(sp?).

Well once someone is 18 they're an adult so that's quite a big difference, no?

I agree it's difficult to make a judgement, and these things are raeely (if ever) black and white... my posts are just my opinion and view of these things that's all <ok>

To use my example again, I wouldn't want to associate with a 35yr old bloke who's happy to sleep with a 16 year old.

The relevance of my last paragraph has just been underlined by you. The person could be immature or mature. You don't know the individual cases.

Your penultimate paragraph has just hit the nail of my point firmly on the head. Thank you.

Anyway, I can't really get into a drawn out debate about this right now as I've just got in from my last night shift and have to be up in 4 hours <yikes>

No doubt there will be alot to catch up on later when I have a read <whistle>

16-18... you can't guarantee the level of maturity, whether an adult legally or not. At 16 they are legally able to have sex. You suggested a second line - how do you check the mental maturity or suitability of someone that age? I'm not having a go at you, I'm just underlining Billy's point that people often make statements and "judge" when, as you say, things aren't always black and white. My point and I think Billy's too.

For the record, I don't think it's a good situation when these things happen.
