I just watched the wonderful 100th birthday tribute to Dame Vera Lynn on TV.
She reminds me these days of another national treasure, Fanny Fanakapan.
I can just imagine Jean when she is 100 travelling to the away games in her mobility scooter...and there to meet her, emerging from the mist in his purple coat, her diminutive No1 fan singing...
We'll meet again ...just sell the club...don't know where don't know when

The IA thread is very naughty

We’ve been reading good things about you, so you’ll no doubt be a welcome addition.
TFM is a bit of an enigma; he doesn’t actually post on here, yet a few of us know him in some capacity. Hopefully he’ll migrate from ITTV in the near future...

No worries Sadie, I haven't left ITTV and I have no intention of leaving CABP.
From now on I'll be restricting my contributions on ITTV to factual posts and statistics, as my opinions no longer chime with the new position of that forum.
That's OK, and there are a lot of good folks over there so I certainly don't want to leave.
I feel however that the best way for me to communicate how I see things going forward there is to let the stats and facts do the talking for me.
I thought it was time I explored the different atmospheres and character of other Charlton fans' forums as long as they are happy to have me as a member. I hope I can do my bit to add to the community here as much as I have tried to do at ITTV and CABP.

You're a more tolerant man than me Sir, thus explaining me deleting my membership from ITTV.

I have read ITTV and feel that IA has been bullying you a bit, I was considering using the account I used to sneak in when it was members only to tell him to back off, but you handled yourself very well. Great decorum as always.
