Everyone used to say don't listen to Canary Call because it has more idiots than The Pink 'Un Forum, yet now, all of a sudden, it's become a "must listen to" event.
I heard last night that Klose and Hoolahan were both told that, and weren't allowed to train. They both played golf instead with a bloke I know.
That wouldn't surprise me and even though Martin's defensive lapses have cost us more goals in the 15 months that Klose has been at the club, Martin was rarely dropped and remained club captain. Next week's team/tactics is going to be interesting, but don't expect too much to change and then we have the next International break for the new manager (?) to hopefully begin to work with the players he has inherited. Depending on who the board recruit, I may regret giving up my season ticket!!! Nah!!! This is the NCFC board we are talking about!!
Although relieved, I don't like Irvine coming out saying I don't want the job. He's got no intensive to put his all in. He's just baby sitting until he can pass the team over.
Good point and he is also on record as saying that he'd like to stay on at the club in some capacity.
How can anybody be accused of "hating" a guy who gave us a thrilling half a season culminating in a Wembley appearance and promotion? Most of the last 16-18 months has been clueless, sporadic dirge, and he'd clearly lost his way (only just noticed, Delia, Ed, etc?? ) but I for one wish him well in whatever project he ends up with next. A PL standard manager yet he ain't, but the long term of NCFC is far more important than the club's manager at any given time. On which note, I look forward to seeing how Hughton fares in the top flight next season
I know not everyone will agree with me, but I'd like to see more of our youff players involved in the run in and sod 'wrapping them in cotton wool', so that they are introduced to the rigours of the Championship gradually. Going forward, we need to offer these youngsters hope of making it to playing in front of 26,000 fans each home game and I know some may not be able to make the step up, but it has to be a risk worth taking. . Why not put the following team out against Barnsley - McGovern; Ramsay, Efete, Bennett, Lewis; Jaiyesimi, Godfrey, Howson (c) McGrandles; Maddison, Ashley Seal <donstinhatemoticon>
A very well reasoned post Cromer and IMO, AN's resorting to the 'clueless, sporadic dirge' we endured came about after our annihilation at SJP in our season in the PL - he mostly seemed to be playing 'not to lose' after that. Who knows, CH may well survive in the PL
How has McGrandles been playing in the yoof? He's suppose to be a prospect, but don't even see him on the bench.
On the subject of which, along with Godfrey, Maddison and the rest, I see Fulham beat the league leaders at SJP yesterday - with two (2) goals from 16 year old sensation Ryan Sessegnon (born 18 May 2000). Yet James Maddison, (born 23 November 1996) is still deemed 'wrappable-in-cotton-wool' indefinitely (or bundled out on loan) despite being 3.5 years older and more experienced? WTF??
I seem to remember the EDP report gave him praise for his contribution to our victory and I think it was ILD saw him as one of the 'overage players' in a recent match and was very impressed with him. 'Nuff said and I think he blazed a penalty over when going for his hat trick!!! Yes, I remember you mentioning him yesterday.
Look Mr. Canario I have never been convinced that getting rid of A. Neil was the right decision, despite him losing the plot somewhat this year and apparently the respect of some of the players. Once it became apparent that the players weren´t up to this league, and we were more than likely to reside here again next season, he seemed to me to be as good a choice as any, to start with a new, younger, hungrier squad next season. That´s my opinion, and as far as I can see, almost my opinion only, but there´s no need to ridicule me for having it. If you don´t understand it or agree with it, then fine, but it´s certainly not for me to justify it, and it´s certainly not for you or anyone else, to not allow me to have it. And as far as not being able to understand anyone´s point of view other than my own, goes, I wonder if you actually read what you write before you write it, because that accusation could, with justification, be levelled at everyone on here. As for losing the plot, which plot are we talking about? - your plot, or the plot you assume everyone agrees with, or just the plot, because undoubtedly I lost track of your plot months ago, but I certainly haven´t lost the plot. That´s seven plots in three lines, surely some sort of a record
Could it be a plotted history? I'm glad you're thick skinned sir, it's hard to believe how some can be so rude towards a true gentleman like yourself! I blame the disbanding of conscription, there seems to be very little self discipline these days!
