Absolutely not valid evidence. How many managers do we know with huge CV's with lots of clubs, or long spells at the same club, who we all know to be useless? There are plenty of them.

Completely agree with regard to Johnson, it's no wonder we play all over the shop and with a muddled defence when we never have a settled team. But I'm sorry, one speech you heard from Pembo is not enough for you or I to make an accurate judgment as to his competency. Based on that, while Johnson must take the vast majority of the flack, there is some criticism that needs to given to Pembo if fans are willing to give it to Holden as well.

You're coming across as you know exactly what happens at the club, but the FACT is you don't....It's all speculation and guess work.
According to you, it's not possible that Pemberton could have anything to do with our situation....you don't know that! you don't know what's said or done.....just pure pure speculation...
History of where he's been and for how long means pure FA....If Cotts was as fantastic as we all say, why is he still out of management? Maybe he doesn't want it, maybe, no club wants him.......we could guess and speculate all we like....but that's all it is!!
LJ may have had orders from the top that he should consider tactics from Pembo....we don't know do we?

Know exactly ... No club would divulge all, and neither would any Professional.

When you are sat in front of a man who describes his job, what he does, what drills he uses, what the progressions are, how training is monitored, their views on prozone/sportscode, what their personal football coaching philosophy is ... It is possible to gain significant insight.

Steve Cotterill also did similar ... Although his delivery was manic, livewire and involved comic audience participation.

Experience and history is why Mr Pemberton was employed.

Mr Pembertons supportive role is replicated around the Country.

I did not say Bristol Citys predicament has nothing to do with John Pemberton, but clearly highlight how Mr Pemberton would certainly approach things differently if he had real influence. The tombola formations, sets ups are completely out of keeping for John Pemberton.

Then there is Lee Johnsons interviews, verbose and revealing. Its his team, his players ... But the axe fell on Pemberton.

Beggars belief why Pembo has never been manager if all you say is true! Still speculation unless you have inside information. You can initially describe his job from appointment stage, who's to say once appointed that didn't change? Owners have their own styles also.
Take Birmingham City, apparently the reason they brought in Zola was to change their style of play, to become more entertaining.....That is a direct order to Zola by the owner.......Who would have known?

We heard he had Lee Tomlin against the wall after he missed the penalty against Burton, guess we'll never know the truth

must disagree to a degree, his track record is not something anyone can condemn or praise unless you have been in attendance ..

you cannot compare the div1 season with this or last .. see my comment above .. JP could easily have been 100% with 3-5-2 because to be fair our squad was so small there was little manouvreability .
when it didn't work in the champs, and it was a massive failure, JP is credited with an instant change when SC left... that is all we know! whether he was in support of how SC LINED UP who knows only he and peeps close by ....
as much as he is responsible for the worst run in City history and Lee Johnson doing the polar opposite of Mr Cotterill.[/QUOTE] is this intimating that JP is as responsible as LJ for our present predicament? or merely a conjecture!
