Burnley (12th) and Bournemouth ( 14th ) could do the double over Liverpool in 2 of your next 4 games and therein lies the problem . You should be within a point either way of Chelsea but sh!tting the bed against weaker teams is ruining a great season . In your last 6 League games you've beat the Spurs , Gunners and had a draw with Chelsea and lost to Leicester , Swansea and Hull

I don't get how referees buy into it. If you're hurt, you don't roll around like a tantruming 6yr old <laugh>

Memories of that newcastle defender (forget his name) who stopped a ball on the goal line with his hand, then rolled around holding his midrif as if he'd been winded. Ref wasn't having any of it and sent him off. To his eternal credit, he jumped up and walked straight off without any more dramas as if to say 'Fair cop'.

He had to try, I suppose! :cheesy:

That's it, in a nutshell. Don't think we were ever going to catch Chelsea, but after a cracking December (without Ford too), I really expected us to consolidate our top four spec by now, perhaps even putting breathing space between us and third. Throw into the mix that we went out of two cups too (okay, Soton well deserved their win, but it was nuts to play the kids against Wolves) and it was a dreadful two months and shatters any delusions that we are a title-challenging side, or even a Top Four side by right.

Steven Taylor wasn't it?

Nani was the worst imo

Yup.

Who was it lately that sat up shouting at ref then rolled around again.

It was a shocker of a carry on.. was it a chelsea player v us?

Remember Nani crying? Don't get me wrong, that was shocking challenge by Carra that deserved a red, but he cut his knee, not broke it. When he saw the yellow card Nani jumped up, thrust his wounded knee at the ref and then actually... cried. Top that off with Sir Alchy saying he could have had to have his leg amputated if he caught an infection. :emoticon-0136-giggl

Tbf, quite plausible if he'd gone near Rooney.
