Big win for pool and a really damaging defeat for us. Thought we were good value for a draw in that 2nd half, but once again our 1st half performance killed us. Why the **** Sanchez was on the bench for a big game like this .. dumb

You never put your best player on the bench in a game like that.

I know, dumb decision. It showed in the second half because he made an immediate impact. Good win for Pool, but we were a bit unlucky with that Sanchez shot at the end rebounding to Lalaland, also a hint of offside about the 3rd ? Can't complain though, you hit us when it counted.

You do if you want to teach him a lesson, Luvvy.

Wenger put Sanchez on the bench to teach him a lesson. I can just see the meeting that Wenger had with Sanchez ahead of the match...

Wenger: "I am going to put you on ze bench."
Sanchez: "Why, boss?"
Wenger: "Because you need to know that I am ze boss."
Sanchez: "But I know that you are the boss, boss."
Wenger: "Well, eet iz because you think you are better zan any of ze other players."
Sanchez: "But, I am better than any of the other players!"
Wenger: "Well, I am going to teach you a lesson."
Sanchez: "The only lesson you will teach me is "how to lose the match," boss!"
Wenger: "Well, at least you will know that I ze boss!"
Sanchez: "But, I already know that, boss!"

Etc

Sanchez is from Chile, so he would say 'Da Boss'. At least get the accents right ffs.

Some of you are wumming on this thread, which disappoints me a little bit.

However, I forgive you.

All I ask is that we stick to comments on the match, please.

Cheers.

Tactically inept from Wenger.

He tried to set up to sit deep and counter but forgot to drill his back line to not charge out and attack the ball in areas that should have been covered by the DM's.

As a result they conceded 2 piss poor goals and by the time he changed it the game was already beyond them.

A good win for Liverpool but they're still a mess defensively and it's papered over the cracks

Yep, utter **** yesterday. It's not the first time we've dug a hole for ourselves in the 1st half either. We generally respond quite well and again yesterday we could have nicked a draw, but we shot ourselves in the foot again in the first half.
