Local derby (sort of) should be a good game. Put wilbs on that'll annoy them.

    Not really local, Beefy.

    Same distance as Tottenham...<yikes>

    Good draw, though.

The league cup is frankly well down the list of our priorities this year. Hopefully will give the likes of Adeyemi, Dawkin, Francomb, Rudd and Ball a run out.

I have to admit I dont know why there is so much anomosity towards the carling cup. Admittedly, the Premiership is number one priority, but if there was a chance to win some silverware along the way wouldnt we all love a trip to Wembley? Of all the trophies it is one that is very winnable with teams putting out weakened teams. You just need some lucky draws and who knows. The binners proved that theory right last year coz let''s face it their team was pants last year!!!

I wouldn't expect us to be fielding first choice line ups in the league cup, but it's not in Lambert's nature to not bother about it. He'll want to win every game we play, but the league will always be our priority this season. Looking at the options we've got in the squad though, we'll still be able to put out a competitive second string.

Good game for the fringe players to prove they have what it takes to be in the first team.

Also saw some binners questioning why we are laughing at them, on twitter, for getting knocked out by Northampton! They say they had their second team out and it's a 'mickey mouse cup.' Odd seeing as they reached the semis of the competition last year!
