I assume the mystery midfielder is Greening - he's being touted as a loan target - that would make 6 when you're only allowed to use 5, but Mannone's out and Guzan will be going back when he's availiable again. Judging by that, there would be no need to sign either Stewart or Evans on a permanent to free up loans.

id rather us buy gerrard but id be more than happy with stewart, bags of potential and cant see him being expensive, evans could be a cracker, unsure yet but in pearson we trust!

Well Forrest have got Konchesky on loan so don't see why we can't get boyata if he's not getting his game at city. The cardiff fans all seem to want Gerrard back but seeing as though they're doing well without hi surely we'd be able to sort something out?
