If you think Eriksen's setpieces were bad then why were you praising Walker when his crosses didn't create a good chance all game?

That's just not the case. Walker was far from perfect, and his shooting was not great, but most of our best attacking came through that channel, particularly in the first half. And there were 2 or 3 good low balls across the 6 yd line that Kane didn't get on the end of - although credit should be given to his marker.
Eriksens primary role is surely as a provider of crosses, through balls and deliverer of accurate dead ball kicks. Last night - and on far too many occasions - he failed to deliver.

Effort was wonderful and it is absolutely right to identify that it was difficult to work out which side was down to 10, but my point is that a team challenging for the PL and other highest honours shouldn't find themselves in that position against a mid-table Belgian club. (No offence, Gent). And that's the bottom line: over 2 legs and nearly 200 minutes of football, we lost. And the manner of the defeat, with a lost man and a few lost heads towards the end, needs to be analyzed and corrected. But heh, if everyone else is happy with that then fine.

What get's me is:- if the clubs are not interested in these competitions,why enter them? It's not a good excuse to say "we want to blood our youngsters!"
What about the fans who are spending tons of money following their teams hoping to win something?.....and they keep screwing up.
