That Ferrari is **** ugly.
All the nice stuff looks buried under crap someone threw on last min.
3rd at best
All we need now is to see Neweys effort before calling this title![]()
I thought Newey was less involved in the design these days?
I think this year some of the cars are judged on livery. The ferrari has the same old livery for the past 7 or so years. if they replaced the white with more black and a darker shade of red it would look more aggressive. The force India paint scheme looks horrible and has no identity.
Interesting though that mercedes and Ferrari have both found the whale tail loop hole. must be some espionage going on![]()
I suspect most teams are aware of it. The first thing they'll have done when they got the new regulations is model all of the aero "no-go" zones, which will quickly highlight the gap Mercedes and Ferrari have spotted. The fact that it's the same height and width as the old rear wings probably means it's a hangover from the previous regs, as has been points out by Scarbs, etc.
I think where the teams might differ is how they use that "whale tail". From a quick glance, Ferrari appear to be using it as a mid-wing to generate more downforce, whilst the shape of the Mercedes one looks more like it actually generates lift, but also conditions airflow to the rear wing for a net benefit.
