You can always tell when a commentator hasn't been watching Spurs whatsoever for a few seasons when they come out with stuff like:

"Eriksen's set-pieces aren't finding the target today. That's unusual as he's always so dangerous from those situations"
As I said during the game, he needs to be taken off them until he improves or we run out of alternative options.
Not only is he now useless at them, but it takes away one of our threat by having him out of the danger area.

Eriksen's suffered that curse all good set piece takers get when they join the club. Bentley only ended up scoring once from them, don't even think Gylfi scored from a freekick, Eriksen was good in the first 18 months or so and then fell to pot... Might be worth just letting Lloris take them, at least that way we won't build ourselves up with hope that someone may actually score from a dangerous opportunity.

Pau Lopez looks a decent bet...

Trippier should be put on corner duty when he's on the pitch. Waste of time having 'Frodo' in the box trying to attack a header, and he's the best crosser of the ball we have. Not sure why that particular skill would get harder when the ball is stationary and there are no opposition players near him. I'd give free kicks to Lamela as soon as he is back. In the meantime, we don't really have any stand-out options to take them - and therein lies the problem. Walker?

I am racking my brain to think of a single player whose set-piece ability actually improved the longer they stayed at the club. Bale is probably the only one. By his final season you could plonk the ball down anywhere within 30 yards of the goal and 9 times out of 10 he would score or at least earn a corner. Eriksen is currently the opposition's best and most effective way to launch a counter-attack.

Dier has hit a few good ones. Mainly for England, but still.

PNP :

When do Tottenham host pur vs Millwall (come on you Purrs !!! ) ??
It's currently down as Saturday 11th March, but the TV coverage hasn't been announced yet.
It could move for that and it probably will in some fashion, even if it's just the time.

Other than the one he scored against Russia, I don't think I've seen him produce anything better than Eriksen.

The problem is that players score one or two free kicks and suddenly get this reputation for being 'dangerous' from set pieces. Players like Ronaldo hardly ever score from them yet everyone creams themselves whenever he steps up to take one.

If we get past Gent, then it goes to the Sunday. However, given that Man United are almost certainly through, then the Chelsea/United could also be on the Sunday. It's doubtful the Police will allow Chelsea v United and Spurs v Millwall to take place on the same day.
