Should be a good game. Barring another plague of injuries, we should be at full strength by the time the match is played. I have to be honest I'm relieved it's at WHL. Away fixtures in the cup against lower league opposition can be nightmarish. A cauldron of noise, fans baying every decision and tackles flying in everywhere on a pitch that was recently used for a cattle market...it all adds up to nought the premier league prima donnas have ever experienced in their pampered little lives. It'll be our last ever FA Cup game at the Lane so expect an amazing atmosphere throughout.
Sorry, can't stop myself with my usual rant. Why the hell does the draw for the next round have to be made before the last match of the previous round has been played? How difficult would it be to delay a day or two? What are they gaining by having it when they do - it's not like it was primetime, wasn't it on the BBC News Channel this round? OK if there was some kind of fixture congestion, ok if there was weather postponements, but NOT OK if the last game of the round isn't even scheduled to take place before the draw. In a random draw competition (ie not like tennis etc where you know who you will play), it is unfair that one team knows who their next opponents will be. I am not suggesting that Arsenal knowing who their next opponents are might affect their team or the way they play their match, but it might do. Has the FA ever said why the draw needs to take place when it does? Last round the draw was on Monday, this round is was on Sunday. Why not Tuesday? I really don't understand.
Disappointing draw if we were drawn at home wouldn't of minded Spurs but away from home i was hoping for a big club: Arsenal or Chelsea would have been nice
It was live on BT Sport, in their FA Cup live match programme. BBC News channel was just a sop to the junior partner.
I thought that too mate - I think a lot of Wall fans are going to make a day of it and do the Emirates tour first - Its only a shadow cast from WHL
Weak wumming You get to be part of history, the last ever FA Cup game at White Hart Lane. You should be honoured. And speaking as a Bermondsey boy, I like the draw very much.
A Bermondsey boy supporting Spurs Why chose Spurs and not the Gooners - at least they are a South of the river team!!
Ahh well you're just going to have to have your arse handed to you by a small club, regardless, handed to you it shall be
Family tradition. Originally from Whitechapel, then moved South as a kid. Went to Millwall a lot through my teens though.
I went there a few times back in the day. A couple of mates were Millwall.. The old den was like Baghdad on a busy day!....
We were born in the same hospital then. I actually lived in Bethnal Green for 2 years (don't remember much), moved to Redbridge in Essex and the to the Borough in Southwark aged 9.
