Hobbo shouldn't be on an overrated thread, he was average/decent in a poor lower league team and like Skipper and Edwards from Hull.
Ok I agree - not overrated - but I'd argue he was below average in whatever league he was in. Being from Hull is irrelevant
Just thought of one...Michael Turner. All he did was climb all over people and somehow not get penalized for it, he's not gotten away with it in more recent years. It's not really been a shock to me to see that his career hasn't really progressed since he left us.
I think youre a bit harsh on Turner. He was a decent defender that scored goals but I do think youre right in some respect as I think he was good just not as good as many city fans made out
I think he's actually underrated...for some reason everyone talks about him like he was ****, but actually without him we probably wouldn't of got promoted.
I'm not saying he's a world beater or top class but if he played a full season for us in the championship I think you'd of seen us go up much more comfortably and seen him score 20 goals.
