If Kane is our number 1 striker I can't see Aguero wanting any of that even if he was interested. He's going to want to be a starter and would fit nicely into our system but personally I'd rather enjoy watching Kane and give him every chance to be the player he can be in the process.
£80m for a player who is nearly 29 is a joke. Probably fit in well at the spuds but they'd have to sell Lame or Daley to raise the cash.
Spanish giants Real Madrid will move for Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, 30, if they cannot sign Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois, 24, this summer. Manchester United's 26-year-old David de Gea is also a target. (Daily Telegraph) They should give Levy a call. That will be a very polite conversation and I'm sure he won't tell them to **** off.
Beats me why Real Wycombe would want a third choice keeper? Maybe because he'd be £50 million cheaper than the two best.
City are ready to make a world-record bid to sign Tottenham's 20-year-old midfielder Dele Alli - eclipsing the £89m paid by Manchester United for Paul Pogba. (Daily Express) Yeah, because Levy is in the habit of willingly selling our best players to EPL competitors! What a bunch of hack muppets!
Well, he clearly does like selling your best players... Just hasn't had a rival willing to pay what he wants yet
Erm...that's because he doesn't really want to sell. However, if the player is demanding a transfer then yes, he'll sell, but only at his price.
He does like selling your best players because he likes the money he gets for them He doesn't begin the day seeking a buyer, he sells when someones flashes pound notes in front of him. Likes vs wants mate, likes vs wants
You're trying to split hairs. Truth is that Levy has never sold a key player who didn't demand a transfer. In fact, a couple of them, Modric, Bale, pretty much went on strike to force a move. Any sensible chairman in those circumstances will take the only sensible course open to him and screw any buyer for every last penny.
Who, at least, that's what the club told you! Bale didn't threaten to strike, he stayed one more season on a promise he'd be allowed to leave.
Lads, the important thing is this... Spurs lost to 'Pool, and we're still second in the league! Count that loss as a gift to you all. Now, it's down to the serious job of chasing down the leaders. Hear ye, mortals, the fearsome roar of that engine, and **** thy pants!
So the story went, but it's never been proven that any such promise was ever made. It's a well known fact that Berbatov, Carrick, Modric, and Bale all handed in transfer requests.
