What's this? A Celtic game kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday? Will wonders never cease? Celtic's first home tie of the season promises to be a cracker. Games between these two are often tense but rarely dull. Dundee Utd have a habit of making life difficult for the Bhoys. Last November saw the Tangerine's defender Dillon grab a dramatic 94th minute leveler at Parkhead after Hooper had given Celts an early lead. It was the last piece of action in a game in which United had rarely threatened but in which Celtic could not find the killer second goal. Lennon will be looking to avoid a similar result this time with both Hooper and Stokes having both netted this season and goal threats coming from the midfield in the shape of Commons, Ki and Kayal. Scott Brown will be available to the manager having served his two match ban and despite picking up a knock on international duty for Scotland. Celtic will be without Izaguirre and the manager will have to ponder whether to start with Mulgrew or switch Ledley to left back. Matthews is an other option. With no sign of a new goalkeeper arriving at Celtic Park any time soon it's likely that Zaluska will keep his position between the sticks. Here's hoping it's another exciting clash between these two and that the Bhoys come out on top and maintain their 100% successful start to the season!
Cannae put Ledley at left back he got done in there last season against the dutch mod luckly I've forgot there name.
Matthews played left back for Wales last night , cha/ Wilson right back , mulgrew and k Wilson in the middle , no danny awful last week and Matthews at left back
I'd like to see us persevere with a Wilson/Big Maj partnership. Too much chopping and changing is never good for a defence and we need to give them time to form an understanding. Has anyone heard anything about Kayal's injury? Damn these stupid international friendlies!
Wilson and Big Dan should start Kayal is 50-50 I think but Broony should be fine. I have to be honest - I was quite impressed with Aberdeen last week and think that what used to be known as the "New Firm" teams could outdo Hearts this season. I reckon the game tomorrow will be a cracker
Good luck Celtic from a Liverpool fan. I have a soft spot for you guys because the Prince of Parkhead aka Kenny Dalglish played for you. And I've been over there 10 times. The Bairds bar is ace. Hopefully you win the league this year.It will make my bros year as he's a staunch Celtic fan.
Cheers mate. Hope King Kenny gets Liverpool back up there where they belong: challenging for the title.
Course Zaluska will start. Wilson Big Dan Wilson Mulgrew Brown Ki Ledley Commons Hooper Stokes If Kayals 50/50 I can see Lenny giving him time to get 100% rather than get an injuryand missing the Sion game. Mulgrew for Izzy for me - I like us to make minimal changes, particularly at the back where we lost silly goals last year perhaps down to too much change.
My team too. It'll be good to have Commons back on the left where he's so much more effective. Expecting a win but we need a better performance than last week (which was pretty poor tbh).
Team for today: CELTIC (4-4-2): Zaluska; M. Wilson, Majstorovic, K. Wilson, Mulgrew; Brown, Ki, Ledley, Commons; Stokes, Hooper Subs: Cervi, Matthews, Forrest, Wanyama, Samaras, Maloney, McCourt Bhoy from Brum AKA Neil Lennon
Give me a second I just had a good one for the Gers game and there was a Celtic link I'll try find it
