Michael Edwards is being handed more responsibilities in terms of transfers and Kevin Stewart is being promised more first team football and a salary increase.

(Mito has a weird unnatural hatred of both these people for some reason)

if he can take 75k per week til 2020 thats 11 mil so.... he can't really lose <laugh>

He guy is just pointing out that winston ried is on the same at west ham so someone has to pony up if lfc are getting 20 mil for him.

its once every 5 years it seems something dramatic happens but sky try to make this big deal about it.... i don't get it... its the last bastion of the desperate

I would presume the player is in london someplace close by waiting to tweet some idiocy about lfc as sson as it happens so i'd be very happy if LFC's game is over and klopp's post match is done before we hear its done or not

I dunno but it really is a one team in.. west ham are just spoofers. We know palace ponied for benteke in the end so will there be a compromise? maybe but we will see. 18mil and i'd let him talk but i'm sure we really don't know what the **** the player will do and he could turn it down so.... we may even allow him to talk terms and figure out the fee once he agrees something.

who knows... they might be so far apart that this loan crap is palace trying a fast one.

This is the modern media though ain't it? It's not just sport - they try to whip up excitement over everything. Everyone shouting and jumping up and down on stupid game shows, audiences wetting themselves over no-mark celebrities being interviewed about their favourite brand of breakfast cereal, etc.
I remember a s0-called reality series about road haulage that tried to make a drama out of whether some bloke would get his frozen peas to Newcastle before they thawed out because his refrigeration was a bit iffy.
The tension was unbearable when he was stuck at the traffic lights.

Suppose you are right. Its 24 hour soundbite searching and shouting is indeed a could term for it. get the thing out first is skys motto. they don't care about quality of mr yellow tie would not be involved.

its just a rat race to report a signing first and sky acting big balls by putting a camera at every prem gound and training facility.

reality tv is sick.
 
Crystal Palace will not be signing Mamadou Sakho on Deadline Day unless they meet Liverpool's £20m asking price, according to Sky sources.

Palace are interested in the former France captain after spending what could amount to £14m on Patrick van Aanholt earlier in the week.

Unverified pictures, purporting to show Sakho arriving at London's Euston station, began circulating on social media on Tuesday afternoon

Sky do their best to hype up Jan deadline, but each year it gets ****er and ****er. Clubs are no longer willing to take huge risks on spending for half a season, thats why there is so many loans.
Frankly loaning a player at this stage is the best option, get to look at the player first and if they make a impact (ie save a club from relegation) you can always go back for them in the summer. And if the price goes too high you can find someone else with more time to bed them in. Of course if it goes wrong player goes back to parent club, costing very little.
