Gabadinni going to Southampton for 14 m, and we are thinking of paying slightly less for Ulloah, it makes me want to cry.
£17m for Gabbiadini £11m for Ulloa Both are overpriced, We had a £7m bid for Ulloa rejected and should walk away.
BREAKING NEWS Crystal Palace are trying to sign Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool before tomorrow's deadline. Sakho hasn't made a single first-team appearance this season after falling out with Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool value the France centre back at £20m ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Can see Palace climbing the league with the quality of players they are signing / attempting to sign. Worrying times !
They've had a much better side than us on paper all season and yet they're only one point ahead of injury ravaged Sunderland and Allardyce can't get a win to save his life. I think Sakho is **** personally, one good game then two poor ones, so if they spend 20 mil on him I'd be pleased they've wasted their money.
Don't think he is a world beater but he pisses all over Djilly.. Agree it's a crazy price tag! Every season there is 1 team who are 'too good to go down'.... let's hope it's Palace this year!!
I think he's better but not by much and mainly because physically he's much stronger than Bod. If Moyes can show Bod where the gym is and where the weights are then I think he'd be better than Sakho, he's got a better brain and is more useful on the ball. If Palace's position in the table was a reflection of their squad quality then they'd be top half at least, I wonder at what point panic will set in for them if they continue to lose under Allardyce. Sam's at his best when it's all coming together and he can capitalise on it, if that never happens they'll be in trouble.
Allardyce hasn't got the usual euphoric 'new manager' results at Palace that everyone expected. Like you say.. IF we could get a victory against them next week then panic may set in. Djilly needs a good mentor (in the S,Bould mould), his positional play at times is woeful. Would have loved to seen Jagielka in our heart of defence pulling the strings.
Yeah I was surprised that they didn't get any new manager points from Sam and once the honeymoon is over it's over. Don't get me wrong I don't actually rate Bod but him and Kone did look good together after a while and hopefully they will again. Still think we should deffo go for Jags on the cheap though, surely it's crossed Moyes' mind given his MO so far.
Allardyce had a really tough start with Sunderland but slowly over time he built a team and it all started to come together. I've no doubt the same will happen at Crystal Palace.
