Totesport and Betfred quoting 138/1 about Dickie Johnsons ride in the first at Ayr. Obviously should be 13/8. I wonder if they would pay out?
4 15 Southwell - General Tufto 16/1 After Alpha Tauri's demolition win last week at 33/1 , general tufo's got to be a bet and half
Bonnie Major - 2.10 plumpton- worth a small ew @ 100/1 paying 3 places-built for jumping and schooled very professionally on Saturday will love the ground and carrying a feather weight will go well
Morning, pilgrims. Got it totally wrong with Cole Harden at the weekend. Solid return to form from him. Will probably get a 5-6 lbs rise in the weights now so almost certainly won’t be handicap bound at the Festival. Although I do wonder if such ‘honesty’ was the best way to play things. When it comes to roguishness though the one yard I do excel on is the Pipe’s. It was obvious what they were up to with Champers On Ice and who on earth were the fools who back him into joint-fave on Saturday?!? Everyone of them should be sectioned. The form book comment re his run from Saturday is ‘stayed on well after 2 out’. I’m sure Champers will now get a perchings reduction and will dot up when stepped up in trip next time. Now qualified for the Grand National I’d be fascinated to see if he’s entered.
Haven't really seen to much of her this week tbh she has been full of herself in her box kicking, biting And again will love the ground her form is Strong and always gives 100% so wouldn't put anyone off backing her today!!
We will never know. Be interesting now to see if Dickie still takes up his one remaining ride in the bumper.
Good jockey booking too Wooly.... has Charlie been to the yard at all? If so be interesting to see what you make of him. Always thought he was a very polite nice lad but gather he had a rather high opinion of himself and a bit mentally weak.
Yeah they always do try and book Charlie or Andrew T - I have met him once or twice - obv I only ride ther on a Saturday so pretty much never ever comes up on a Saturday. He is a very polite lad and I do like him as you say and is a good jock great value for his 3lb claim too but does sometimes does things his own way but generally they come off! Mentally wise I'm not sure but is still young and will grow to be up there imo!!
L'apogee 16/1 Southwell 4:15 - won his penultimate flat start at Beverly before a useful run in 2nd at Wolverhampton lto behind Seven Clans. His Dam Pappas Ruby was American bred out of Red Ransom and with the surface likely to suit L'apogee here, he's worth a play at nice odds in what is a very mediocre race in the hope he finds improvement for the Southwell track. Not one to go overboard on but may reward each way support if taking to the fibresand.
Signs of promise but faded badly the last 300 yards and ultimately finished towards the end of the field. Won't be one to follow long term for sure.
The money is down on BOL D'AIR in the last at Plumpton and it looks quite possible that the handicapper has underestimated him. Will go in the heavy ground.
Anybody using the new bbc results page? Couple of times ive noticed theyve put the fav up as winner then you check the full result and it hasnt won! Is this another loonie leftie "its the taking part/theyre all winners" pash?
