IF Moyes gets the money to spend who could we get.

We will definitely need a LB, A midfielder And rumors today Moyes wants Ulloa (I like Ulloa but I would rather we go for Shane Long especially if Southampton get Gabbadini)

I Would love us to get Long, Adam and Brady if ES would add some to the PVA money.

Getting anyone to sign for us is going to be difficult I just hope Moyes and Bain can do something before the window closes.

Brady has already rejected us. Long would burst out laughing and Ulloa would be a waste of money imo.

We have to strengthen the defence and midfield. Not sure who I'd go for because all decent players probably ain't going to come. Whoever doesn't get a game at their club, or free agents, is where we'll be looking.

That money's straight into Ellis's pocket, we might get a left back from the bargain bin if he's feeling charitable but the reality is it's starting to look like we'll need to start building a team that can compete in the championship next year, it's looking like there aren't 3 worse teams to save us from the inevitable this year.

    I agree mate.

It's probably best that we don't sign anybody, because it looks like we are accepting relegation. Wait until the summer to see who the manager is and start signing a few players then. If there's any money, of course.

We'll finish rock bottom, probably by a little gap. It does look like we've accepted it though.

I thought Hull were ****ed but they've got half a chance if they can keep their home form up.

I think we'll only loan players. If we survive this season I fully expect us to return from the Summer even weaker than this season and Moyes in an even more difficult position thanks to Short.

I'm not writing us off. Not yet.

Maybe more hope than sense but it's tight down there and we've got players coming back.

I honestly believe that Catts coming back will make a big difference.

Its looking a difficult pre transfer window closing but come on we are not cut adrift and have game time to escape.
If we lose on Tues (as expected) I'll begin to be worry but it's a game Sunderland could get a point at least an (unexpected) point
Imo we need to KTF and make the SOL rock on Tues <cheers>

I'm normally all for trying to remain positive, but you need to be looking through some pretty strong red and white tinted specs to manage that at the minute, you are right we're not massively cut adrift yet but in recent weeks we've not even managed to compete in games that we'd need to be picking points up in if we are to have a chance of staying up. Maybe the players coming back from injury and the african cup will make a big difference, it might make us more solid at the back and give us a chance in games but players like cats normally take a few games to get up to match sharpness and none of them are going to add a lot to our attack which is over reliant on hoping that Defoe scores.
I'm a realist and I just don't see us escaping the drop with the squad we have at the minute so I'm hoping the people running the club are forward planning for what our squad could look like next year should we go down, any player we sign now has got to be ready to battle to get out of the chapionship if the worst should happen.

Christ, I see where the old saying "Who put the GRIM in Grimsby" comes from. Sacha Barron Cohen got it by the sound of it.
