Actually I agree with you and think he should have stayed too. All I'm saying is, I can understand why he didn't, and I don't think we should demonise him for wanting to secure a longer term, higher value contract somewhere else.

Im deluded enough to think no one should ever want to leave us...
that includes fans who leave Hull to better themself :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Personally I think Snodgrass has been a complete and utter cock, engineering a move away. What is the value of a contract these days? They just seem a totally pointless piece of paper amendments to contracts that allow clubs to punish want away or 'striking' players in the wallet.

I would like to see clauses put into contracts right across football that behaviour like this can see a reduction to just 10% of monthly salary. It will soon see the behaviour amongst players change, you don't want to play? Fine, you go to 10% of your total pay and you're here for another 18 months.

I can imagine that. Statement from the owners: The entire squad have refused to play so, as of now, the reserves are playing and the first teams wages have been stopped.

I still don't know why Ehab just didn't say 'sorry you're not going now, we need you, but we'll help you get a move in the summer'

What do people think would have happened if he had?

Personally I think he'd have had a little sulk but then got on with it and played until the end of the season, if for no other reason that he'd want to look good to get a good contract at a new club

We'd certainly have got less for him in the summer, but I think that would have been worth it

Something needs to be done, as at the moment a contract seems worthless. In the case of Snodgrass - he was happy to sign almost 3 years ago for a 4 year term. Fourth year being optional. If a decision comes down to selling a player, it should almost be solely down to the club.

Too much player power at the moment. Something needs to be done so there are consequences for the player. If he doesn't want to play, fine. His wages drop to an affordable level so he can play in the academy junior sides, or not at all.

To be fair there is something in every player's contract. There's a loyalty bonus, clearly Snodgrass didn't care about it though. Then again with his new deal and signing bonus, a few hundred grand is probably insignificant to make sure he forced through a move.

So, when Marco keeps us up and June comes around. "Hey Marco, Big Name Club calling - we like what your are doing at lil ole Hull, but wouldn't you like to be at thje centre of the big boys table, not out on the edge there. We have lots of money just for you Marco, you are the man" What kind of "loyalty" will we see then?

We haven't paid Marco for 18 months to sit on his arse with an injury that he had before he signed for us and then he hasn't complained about a contract that he was happy to sign previously.

Don't know the politics so won't speculate or take sides other than to say he was a good larker and we got some wonga for him after it looked like his career might have been f'cked in his first game for us. Players moving on? Once any player decides his future lies elsewhere the marrage is over and its time to offload. My thoughts now turn to those players who ARE still interested in playing for the famous Black n Amber.

He wanted to leave but the way he went about it is what bothers me.
Refusing to train and making yourself unavailable for selection makes him a complete **** in my eyes.

When Livermore left all the players wrote on twitter straight away how sorry they were to see him go . Only Curtis has messaged so far about snodgrass

If he told Silva he wanted out on his first day, he's a bit of a ****. Livermore, from what we know, didn't want out and left because the Allam's accepted the offer. Snodgrass has clearly forced the club's hand into selling him, so I'm inclined to say **** him. If Silva can get someone better or at least someone more suited to his new way of playing, then I trust him. I still want to see another defensive midfielder and pacy winger before the window closes, otherwise we're up **** creek without a paddle.

I said this earlier. Surprised Robertson hasn't put anything as those two were really close.

Some fans on FB are using this post to defend him as "not a Judas" or whatever they said.

Problem is: these posts are standard nowadays. All players post them whether they enjoyed their time at the club or not. Some are probably told to post it and given the photo to do it with.
