Everything I've seen and heard of Snodgrass suggests that he isn't the kind of player to go on strike. He wasn't happy with the length of contract we offered but he continued to be our best player until now. We're selling due to Ehab's greed and stupidity.

WHOA right there ..... don't put words into my mouth you ****, he wants out we can sell him in the summer ....... NOT to a relegation rival now.

There's already been strong rumours that he's refused to play. That doesn't help us one bit. We can't afford to sit him on the bench or in the stands. He wants out.

Burnsy & Mike White both now saying no bid from Boro accepted

I haven't heard any rumours? I suspect the "muscle injury" was more Ehab protecting the sale than Snoddy refusing to play

If you buy something on the net that is mispriced they don't have to honour it.

We're back to "invitation to treat" vs "offer and acceptance" again. When purchasing goods that are for sale the offer is from the purchaser. You can go up to the till (or email online) and offer a price different from the listed price and they can either accept it (binding contract) or tell you to do one.

I'm not reading the bollocks on the thirty odd pages that my phone tells me I've 'missed' since this morning because, well because I know it will be bollocks. So I go to page 1 as instructed to see that we've sold Snodders to Burnley for £10 million. Ok. Whatever. Fairy Nuff.

What I don't get is that if page 1 (the truth I tells ya) sez Burnley, why you all talking 'bout it bein' the 'Boro wot got 'im?

Some thoughts on Robert Snodgrass.

He turned us down: he turned down what would have effectively have been an 18 month extension to his current contract. He not unreasonably wanted longer. A 3 year deal in the summer would give him an extra year's wages. Same as an extra 3 and half year deal now. The extra year would be worth upwards of an extra million, maybe more. I'd say he wasn't being greedy just sensible.

He doesn't want to play for us: the only evidence of this appears to be his refusal to sign a new contract that only gave him an extra 18 months.

Why has the club announced we've accepted an offer? Perhaps it was because Snodgrass was injured and they are trying to force him out. Tomorrow should give us a better idea, especially if he's in the squad against Manchester United.

Bid accepted from Burnley if snodgrass excepts a move to Burnley it can only be for the money as that shows no ambition to go to a higher profile club

<laugh> Exactly. Snodgrass was always going; Livermore wasn't so obvious.

The biggest suggestion that they are cutting and running is if they accept low offers with it all up front. If they are getting the hell out of dodge, they won't care about sell-on fees either.

The worst thing about the club at the moment is that there are glimmers of hope, which is then shattered almost instantly. We get an exciting manager, start to put in good performances, then lose our 2 most consistent players and our record signing within a week. I can't see any way back from this. The belief that the players had managed to cling on to is surely gone now. Even if the Allams spend money (which I seriously doubt), there is absolutely no guarantee that the gambles will pay off. Foreign players new to the league are almost never ready to hit the ground running in the premier league, and are unlikely to fill the personality void left by two popular British players. And that's not coming from a xenophobic position, simply that they won't speak the language well enough initially. The damage to team spirit is going to be irreparable, and that's the most important thing for a team battling relegation. I was relatively positive about our chances until now, but I think we're down whether or not the utter bellend running the club allows Marco to spend.
Our so called 2 best players didn't feature against Chelsea stop wetting your pants

We've had nearly five years to tell us all we need to know. If they've not opened their eyes by now they'll stay forever blind.
quick question, if we go and sign a couple of decent players for a decent fee and then maybe a couple of others as well, will you take it back about constantly and I mean constantly going on about us been a selling club!?
For the last time, nobody knows what's going on and it's getting boring listening to the same people go on and on and on.
If in 6 days we haven't replaced anybody then by all means crack on but until then! Wait and see!
