selling players is how the team evolves, dont you know that or would you prefer us to be still playing Waggy and Chilo?
Yeah I'd be annoyed at losing any of them, cos if I was a manager looking to play how we understand Silva is then they would be in the team. Livermore and Snodgrass wouldn't.
Snodgrass doesn't want to stay so it makes sense to sell him, in the past 4 months he has played better than he ever has in his career, his price will never be higher than it is this transfer window. He's going to be hard to replace and I'm not convinced we will be able to, but such is player power these days, we really don't have much choice. I would have liked him to show a little more loyalty given how well the club looked after him when he was injured but at the same time I don't blame him for wanting out.
Maguire climbed the ranks through the English League system and had time to bed in and gel with other players, not to mention understanding English football and the culture. It's a difficult ask to chuck some european players into a relegation battle in one of the best and most compeitve leagues in the world not in their home country.
I can't find the post, but someone on here ventured that the Allams are 'cashing-in' by selling players. There's now around £17m net from sales. Will it be re-invested or will we only continue to get loans in? I thought the notion was to augment the squad, which is far too thin, but it does look as if we are selling and loaning, so far... Maybe the picture will have changed by the end of the next six days. If not, it may well be apparent that Deathcab is recovering the Allamhouse loan, bit by bit.
we can't just have the 11 players you like and then put youngsters on the bench I know it's unlikely but we might get injuries or suspensions
It was me about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I was told at the time that the suggestion that they were potentially looking at asset stripping was ridiculous.
That wasn't what was said. The post said: "will any of them have been playing in Premier League matches?"
